Kirby Avalir 2 Vacuum and Home Care System

Kirby is by far the most superior vacuum cleaner on the market. I have owned only 4 of them in my 51 years of life (my parents and both sets of grandparents also had Kirby's). They are always improving their machines and they get easier to use all the time. I can't say enough about Kirby Vacuum Cleaners. Plus they are built in the USA... (Ohio & Texas). If they were to ever ship their manufacturing overseas, they'd probably turn to junk like so many other companies have had happen. You definitely pay for what you get. I always have 2 - 3 Kirby's. The oldest one that I currently have is a 1997 Model G5. I've replaced a few parts on it over the years, but the machine itself it built to last.... & it works really really well yet. I"m anticipating this Avalir II to last me at least 25 years... PROBABLY MORE!

Simply got tired of replacing my vacuum every 3 to 5 years. With a cheap plastic box store brand vacuum. my mother had a Kurby vacuum from the early 60's. it was passed down to my sister. Now I have one, an Avalir 2. it will outlast me. Then to my daughter. What more can you say about a product? USA made with tradition. A+++

I would like to clarify that I did not buy this vacuum off Amazon. My review in no way reflects Amazon, I just need to add the review somewhere so people know not to buy this.Buying a vacuum for $$$ could be a brag, but then your friends will see your bruised toes, scuffed up walls, and hearing aids. The “home cleaning system” is junk and is so loud your grandma in Illinois can hear it. Literally today tried to use one of the attachments to dust off my walls, shone a light on it to see my walls were streaky and the paint is now scratched in places it wasn’t before. This spaceship is so big, if you don’t move out of the way in time, it’ll take you and your wall right out. I’ve had to replace more drywall from the vacuum than than from the boys in my house. The biggest mistake of my life right now is letting that rude salesman through the front door knowing my husband would probably fall for the rouse.

This vacuum eats belts. Everytime I use it I have problems. Have to sit in the floor and see what's wrong this time. It's definitely a chore to use. I wish I hadn't bought it.
