I like these a lot, the concept was so cool and it was a spur of the moment purchase.I used multiple candles underneath the first time and that was a mistake, the concave provides enough heat for one candle, and interestingly the airflow will not keep 3 lit anyways. But more than one will begin to burn the bottom so follow their instructions (I am a bad user for these things)i did chip the side of one of them while washing in my sink so less on the thickness

Awesome gift! We love fondue at restaurants so I bought some fondue cheese at the grocery store and we needed a way to eat it! These mugs were perfect and got plenty hot. I wiped the mug with garlic confit oil before putting the cheese it. It’s a quick and easy way to make a dinner or snack special! Mugs have been run through the dishwasher multiple times now with no issues as well.

Wasn't certain about buying these after reading such mixed reviews. But we so enjoyed our experience. The tea light candles worked perfectly, burned well and kept the fondue bubbling. As the candle burns you do have to be careful not to tilt the cup as the wax will spill. This makes for wax cleanup around the bottom of the cup. Other than that very happy with the product. Wish I knew where they were made. Buy USA!

Even when using the candles that came with the mugs, the flame gets too hot and burns the cheese and chocolate. You will need to stir the coating often to catch the dip as it starts to stick in the bottom so you can extinguish the flame. The bottom of the cups have cracks. I assume from getting too hot. They still work. The platform where the candle sits is domed up, so avoid picking up the cup if the candle is lit because it will shift and might pour hot wax on you. I use a little sticky dot to hold the candle in place near the edge of its platform. This allows me to easily manage the flame and keeps the heat away from the direct bottom of the cup so there is less burning. If you need replacemet candles, sure to use the short tea light candles like the ones that come with it not the regular thickness ones. Despite these shortcommings, this is better than having my warm dip cool before I'm finished wiht my snack.

I enjoyed my personal fondue until a pop was heard, and a poof of smoke rose from the center of a beautiful little pool of chocolate. There is probably not enough space between the well and the raised tea light platform. The light isn't on a flat surface, but convex. I believe it should be flat, and not raised, for safety. If you keep the candle lit to keep your dipping sauce hot, it will burn. You'll have to keep an eye on it.

I was so pleased when this arrived today. It was just the pick me up I needed today. I set it up and scrounged for cheese and bread, not perfect choices but all I had was cheap shredded cheese I had a little trouble with the candle but it stayed lit. Within 5-10 min the cheese was melting but the consistency was off. I added a little whiskey which worked great. I’m very pleased. I will get better cheese and I think white wine All in all I’m pleased with the purchase so far

The quality of these mugs are very very low. There are some resíduos on the bottom the of the cups that are ingrained in its glaze.. I took a picture of it and when I enlarged it, it looked like metal residue. There are also pieces of broken ceramic ingrained in the glaze . These cups can’t go in the microwave. Besides, one mug of the ten sets I bought came with the cup handle detached. I’m returning them all. I don’t even feel it’s safe to use.

These arrived today & we used them tonight for a type of Marinara Fondue. Perfect set of individual mugs: They are beautiful. The Tea Candle provided plenty of heat to keep the sauce warm, no problem. We have double vents on these mugs & not once did the candle light go out. Would make a great gift.
