West Blvd Womens Bombay Hiking Ankle Work Boots

I was hesitant to buy these boots at first because of all of the bad reviews, depicting their quality as subpar. However, I've had these boots for two years now and the only mark I have on them is my right boot from when I scraped my toe on a curb. That happened within the first month of me owning them, to which I took a brown marker and colored it in. As of today - two cold-weather seasons later [going into my third] these boots have held up perfectly.Now, do I wear them every day, 7-days a week? No. However, I have had weeks in which I've worn them 4-5 days and no problem. The sole is still in tack, the laces still lace to the top, and everything about them works, with exception of my left zipper being broken in half. However, that was my fault, I got the inner zipper caught & tried to force it up.All and all, for the price, I would say that these boots are a great addition to anyone's collection who likes the combat-style boots.

I have had these boots 1 year but only wore them in winter season for 2 months the end of last winter and 2 month this winter so far. To my disappointment one of the lace up metal shoestring hooks came off. I find this strange since you don't need to lace up and down at all. You leave them laced and just zip them on and off. The reason the hook came off within less than a full season of winter wear is obviously; they are cheaply made.They are the cheap synthetic imitation leather. But, hey, what did I expect for 20 bucks - real leather and solid workmen ship. For $20.00 I got my monies worth as the one hook missing is not a problem they are still wearable and so far have held up in all other areas well.

I got these boots and they look exactly like the picture, they fit well, and I walked in snow for a week with them and I didn't get any snow in my shoes. However, you get exactly what you paid for. They are not that high quality and already, after having them for about two weeks, the hooks at the top of the boot have already started popping out. Moreover, the hooks at the top come undone when you are not wearing the shoes so putting on the shoes takes way longer than usual, despite there being a zipper on the side to facilitate the shoe-putting-on process. I like them but I won't get to like them for too long because they are already breaking down on me.

I just received the boots today, September 16, 2014. First, they look great. Nice black color and were in perfect condition. Not one ding or bruise to the material. Next, the most important part - the putting on of the boots!!!! (Picture eyes wide, hand to mouth in terror). I slid one foot in, very nice. The boot felt mah-ve-lous. Next, the other boot. Same thing! They do tend to run a little large but I don't give a damn. A nice thick pair of socks will take care of that. I love the stays on the front of the boots and the side zippers. There's even a little tag on the back of the boot that gives it a funky look. Now I have yet to really wear the boots but for the price, hey, I don't expect them to last for years. But for now, I can honestly say these boots are the best thing I've purchased for $15.07. And, and, they came so damn fast, I'm still holding my breath waiting to exhale. Kudos to the seller.

Simple and cute, not a combat style, more of an ankle boot. On my pair, from the bottom of the heel to the very top of the boot, it's only just over 8 inches. The grey is pleasantly darker than the picture and thankfully not metallic. The laces are stiff and round so unless you double knot they come undone easily, and they are stupid long for these boots. I hope to find shorter flat laces to replace them. The footbed's not much padded. Other reviews about how these boots popped off hooks and split soles or heels make me nervous, so even though they're amazingly cheap, I'm going to go easy on them.

I bought these shoes in 2014. They were great, look great and didn't break the bank. A year later, however, the sole of my left boot is coming off. They have average wear and I did not destroy the shoes--this should not be happening after a year. I am very disappointed that the sole is coming off and I am hoping that this company will send me a new pair. Right foot's sole is perfectly fine. Other than that, the fit is great and no other complaints.

I liked the color of them and how they looked a lot. The sole fit nicely but it bulged awkwardly by the ankle. I wore these occasionally to work (where I do a moderate amount of walking) and the sole of one started to come off within a month of owning them. Shortly after, the sole of the other boot started to come off. Almost all of the eyelets broke off as well. I can't wear them anymore because the soles are almost completely off (I could rip them off with little effort) and the sides have holes in them. I bought them only 9 months ago. I know they're cheap but I expected them to last a little longer. I've gotten better shoes at target.Note: the duct tape on the soles was put there by me in an attempt to hold them together

They're comfortable and seem to be relatively durable. They don't go too far past the ankle, the heel is not too high, and they feel natural to walk in. The footbed is decent, and the inside has a comfortable lining. They're a bit on the roomy side, with a wide toe area, but I tend to like that. I was looking for cheap military style boots that would be okay for walking in light rain, and these are perfect for that. For $22 I'm impressed.
