Perfect for your unicorn loving daughter
If your daughter loves unicorns you will all enjoy reading this sweet story about believing. My 4 y/o daughter absolutely loves this book (and the matching plush unicorn). The book tells a wonderful story about a Unicorn that believes little girls are real, even though the other unicorns say they are make-believe. The unicorn dreams of a friendship with a "strong smart wonderful magical little girl." My daughter says, "Uni believes in me & I believe in her! I know we will find each someday." The illustrations are beautifully doneand I love that the little girl wears shorts, t-shirt, & mismatched socks. This is a book you will read again & again!

Daughter loves it,& I do, too. 😊
I just started homeschooling my daughter, I'm trying to instill a love for reading in her. Reading was more like a "have to" than a "get to" for her. I bought this book to surprise her and excite her to read. It did just that!! She absolutely adores unicorns, and she was so excited when she saw this beautiful book. She read me the book because she was so excited about the theme of the book and the beautiful pictures. I also had her do a book report on the book. Win-win for Mommy & daughter

Beautiful and sweet story with a girl as the main character
I have found there to be so few books out there geared toward girls that aren't characters from shows or too "adult." My son is 5.5 and I feel like we had a never ending supply of books related to his interests and with little boys as the main character. Yes, I know I can read my daughter book about trucks and bugs, and we do, but there is a shortage of children's books geared toward girls that aren't based on movies or...crappy.I came across a photo of the illustrator's work in This is Me Loving You (also fantasticly sweet) and went looking and found this. I knew we had to have it the moment I read the description.

Very cute story with beautiful illustrations
The book has really great art work and the story is really cute, but it kind of ends weird. The unicorn and the little girl never actually meet. When I finished reading it to my 3 year old for the first time she said 'is that it?' I now know there is a second book where it seems like the do meet so we will probably buy that one. Good marketing on their part I guess.

THIS BOOK IS WONDERFUL. It is the perfect length
For me, the goal in finding a book is interesting enough to keep a child entertained and causes a child to want that book over and over. Much easier said than done. THIS BOOK IS WONDERFUL. It is the perfect length, it has bright beautiful pictures and the perfect amount of words on each page. It tells a wonderful story about a girl believing in unicorns (even if others don't) without using tons and tons of words per page. The pictures are amazing and tell the story too. A new favorite for 5 YO granddaughter!:) If the child is not "into" unicorns I believe it is still a good story that they'd like but not positive.

In my mind, the story is a metaphor about having Faith.
I am always looking for stories that convey spiritual virtues. The unicorn has faith, the girl has faith, and their faith is rewarded, each meeting with their Best Beloved. I was worried the illustrations were too cartoonish, and they are (just a little, to my taste), but my granddaughter LOVES the story and the pictures. The colors are clear and bright, matching the message which is sparkling and uplifting,
