I love the concept of these jigsaw puzzles in terms of teaching a kid how to do puzzles and spell at the same time. We got this for our 2 year old that loves puzzles and letters, so it was a win win for us. He loved them so much that we had to take in a couple of the puzzles to daycare to help sooth him when he was having a rough days. All the puzzles are either 3 or 4 letter words and are pretty easy to put together. The puzzles themselves are pretty sturdy, but not too stiff that it makes it hard to put them together. The words spelled out in these puzzles are popular words that toddlers can easily recognize the pictures of like dog, cat, pie, bird, bug, tree, which is perfect for helping them connect the dots of how to spell there favorite things while keeping them entertained at the same time. The only downside I can say about this is that it is that the storage isn't ideal. There really isn't a way to separate the puzzles, so all the different puzzle pieces mix together in the box. Our son will dump out all the pieces and you kind of have to do a scavenger hunt for the right pieces. Right now we just find a couple of his favorite words and leave them out on a table so we don't have to constantly go through the box and find the right pieces for each of those puzzles. With that being said, our son is only 2, so as he gets older, he will be able to sort through all the pieces in the box and match them to the right puzzles. In fact, it could end up being a challenge for him, and a good thing.

Great toy for learning and fun!
I bought this toy for my 3 and 4-year old. They loved it! The puzzles pieces are sturdy and easy to put together. The pictures make the puzzles easy and it helps teach them word recognition at the same time. The puzzles come all together in a box with 3 and 4 letter words. To make it easy, and so my kids wouldn't fight over them, I divided the puzzles into groups of 3. I put each group in a ziploc bag and told the kids if they wanted to play with a different set of puzzles, they had to pick the first one up and put it back in the bag. This helped keep the puzzles from getting mixed up and it helped teach my kids responsibility for their toys. These puzzles are a lot of fun and 2 years later, my kids still enjoy them!

Great puzzle with many uses!
There are a lot of things you can do with this puzzle. I have a daughter who is 6 1/2yrs old and behind in her speech. She has Down syndrome. I use this to emphasize each sound the letter makes and then slowly blend the sounds together. It is good for teaching kids how to sound out words, teach letter sounds, and learn words. There are a lot of pieces since there are 10 3 letter words and 10 4 letter words. It may not sound like a huge amount but when your child sees 70 pieces it can definitely be overwhelming. When I got it I went through it and grouped some 3 letter words together and some 4 letter words together and put them in separate Ziploc bags so that it wasn't so overwhelming. I also like that your child can't spell the word wrong because of the way the picture fits together. I think it is a great learning toy, functional for speech (my daughter's speech therapist told me it was an activity my daughter likes to do), for learning how to blend letter sounds and how to spell.
