For the price point, this is a good camera. in daylight the zoom is pretty good. there is a slight delay whilst the autofocus catches up, but all in all it is fine. The camera is viewed via software supplied for you PC, is viewable from the IE browser, and is also viewable from an app ( I used android ) The camera can store preset locations for the PTZ for you to snap to different locations etc, but I can not see a function to have the camera "patrol" through those presets. Instalation was pretty simple, but I would recommend using an IP55 box fitted next to the camera for the wires / Speaker to sit in. `The unit was supplied with an EU adaptor, but I think this will change to a UK plug in the future. Picture quality ( night ) can be set, or auto to three modes infared, full colour, intelligent. on inteligent, this can flip in and out if a security light is present. The app is ok, but push notifications seem a bit hit and miss. Email alerts on Gmail are fine. The images are of "inteligent" and "infared" these are at 28X zoom with the vehicle around 6 M from the camera in almost complete darkness. Motion detection is done via placing hitboxes ( 4 ) on the screen and adjusting sensitivity for them. Privacy screening can be done that will blank out areas on the camera, but these are not attached to camera position, just an area on the screen , so if the camera is moved, the privacy box moves in relation to the camera. ( therefore the privacy box also moves and covers up areas that are not needed ( preset positions help with resting place privacy boxes. You can set the devise to record only at certain times of the day, and the same for motion. If there was a patrol function I would have been super happy, but unfortunatley there does not appear to be a setting for this. Put an onscreen controller for PTZ on the app would be very helpful, with a display / on/off function for it)Overall, pretty happy with it, have been playing with all the settings ( apart from FTP settings as I have no need for this function ) nor have I tried to set up additional users with different access levels, although It appears this is possible.

I suffered a theft from my backyard recently by a neighbour who was caught stealing it on my thumb sized camera. This caused so much inconvenience that I decided on this as it not only has a phone app but can be viewed on the PC.The neighbour has been keeping a low profile recently till he saw this and started telling his nearby neighbours about it. I have many deliveries and since I work shifts I am asleep during the day so the backyard gate therefore has to be left open. The night and night colour vision is very good, the notifications excellent to alerting to motion. Most controls are easy although some settings take some figuring out. The picture is crystal clear although occassionally the movements of passers by can be "juddery".The pan and tilt is especially useful when you want to see the whole area, in my case the car park besides the house and of course on the back gate. It has continual recording as well as the alerts. It has an alarm on it which can be customised, whistle or dog barking, the latter was being set up when I first put up the camera. Then the neighbour who stole my delivery started deliberately walking into view with the sole intention of setting the alarm off!It has two way audio for communication although I am yet to test this :-)One downside is the instructions is not very clear although it didn't take long to set up.The worst part is setting up the camera on the computer, the search tool is a particular pain! Hence why minus one star. If you have trouble with it just remove and install. It also needs a smaller screen size as well as it wasn't made very well. Something else to consider about the annoying search tool is that it should give you a website address but all I could see was random characters (poor coding). There is also said (local) website that you can use as well so there is plenty to play about with and customise.It is expensive but the cheaper ones are fixed so I would need three cameras pointing in different directions. The pan and tilt on the phone is awful (on my phone it is) it doesn't work all that well and is better on the software or website.Strongly recommended.
