These are nice flat standard plates that are great for dumbbells.

Ridiculous cost
I had just clicked the check out button and was about to hit "pay" when I paused. I mean I was about to fork out $23.96 + $6.95 shipping for a 4 2.5lb plates, and a gut feeling told me, "this is waaay to expensive."So, I went looking all over Amazon for the same product -- or one of that quality or better (needed it to supplement the 60lbs dumbbells I'd bought here on Amazon), but at a more reasonable price, but to no avail. As providence would have it, I stumbled on the Weider brand iron plates (very solid piece) -- of all places -- @ Sears website for an incredible $11.00 for all 4 plates. You don't look a gift horse in the mouth.So, not taking anything away from Power systems in terms of quality, but if you have the extra change to splurge, then why not. But for me, for 11 bucks, I have no regrets passing on it for the money saving, and debatably superior, Weider.

Kinda hard to mess up standard plates, ya know? These are perfect for the simple home gym.
