Unfortunately, I have to wear this a lot. I wouldn't call it a universal size -- I wasn't able to fit it to my arm per the instructions because neither the upper nor the lower half was long enough (I'm 5'10, wouldn't call my arms abnormally long). My biggest complaint is that it doesn't stay put unless I cinch it down to the point that it cuts off my circulation. But it does the job well enough.

I had elbow surgery and was looking for a brace that provided some mental reminder not to put myself too hard yet. The unit works but it has several design problems.1 - The left handed unit is made so that all of the velcro straps must be inserted through the openings on the back side of your arm. It makes putting the brace on far more difficult than if they velcro was pulled through holes on the front of the arm.2 - The length of the forearm and upper arm portion is adjustable. However if you even think of 'tugging' on the forearm end, the adjustment mechanism pops off.3 - I am a big guy so I was not surprised that I had fit issues. I had to take a propane torch to the brackets that the straps are attached to. By warming them I was able to flair them out to accommodate my arm.Now something I should have read but did not. The arm can not be fixed at 90 degrees. I ended up using zip ties to limit the motion in this range.

I honestly don't know if I got the brace for the wrong side or if it is just bad when it comes to the carrying angle of the elbow. The middle hinge did not line up for me when the upper cuff was even remotely uncomfortable (even with the pad removed)..

Great brace help my elbow post-operative immobilization , stabilize arm onto straight position or allow your arm to move in a certain range, help rapid recovery. What’s more, the elbow brace also with an extra shoulder strap which will make you feel more comfortable and relieve arm pain for secure.

My doctor recommended going to amazon to get this brace he showed me which one to get and it worked great. Big bonus was If I had gone through my insurance company I would have paid 700.00 bucks for something I only needed to where for 6 weeks. This was a super savings and so very helpful. very thankful.
