The toe strap is a false one, while it un-Velcro’s there is no way to adjust it tight or lose. Doesn’t seems to bother my 8 year old, the red trim shoes are pretty sweet he’s got a few compliments already. I like protecting his toes for bike or scooter rides and they can be warm in water. They fit true to size!

My son picked these out and was excited to get them. He was gone when they came so I looked them over a bit. Im a bit confused to start. The amazon order says GIRL SHOES;the description says BOYS SHOES which is it? Also, first thing I noticed was they are visibly dirty inside my first though was if someone has tried them on or something. Lots of loose threads. I'm worried that they are going to fall apart in a couple of weeks (especially considering a recent review stated just this problem) the reviews showed the shoes were on the bigger side but written reviews said order a size up. My son normally wears 11 they dont have 12 available so we did 12.5 expecting this may fit just slightly bigger for the summer. They are up against his big toe, so definitely smaller. I'm not sire of others have experienced this or if ot is just us. He is so excited about them, though, that he doesnt want me to send them back for bigger size. We will give them a try for a couple of weeks to a month and try to do an update then. For now I'm giving these an average 3 star rating

Love these shoes! They are super cute and durable! The sizing was an issue when purchasing - I did follow their size chart and it was right!! The issue was probably more on my end - I couldn’t believe my son had grown 1.5 sizes since winter and was still wearing his late winter shoes without complaint! The shoes got 4/5 stars from me. They would have gotten the whole 5 if the edges wouldn’t have shed threads (very minor as seen in pics). Don’t get me wrong, these shoes are awesome, but they did show wear after one long weekend. ... Our four day long weekend did involve camping, hiking, used as water shoes, bike riding and playground playing. So, the wear that was shown is warrant I just don’t like it, lol. Overall the shoes are great! Get you some!

Great outside shoe! My son is a size 2 and they fit true to size. We went hiking with them on and they were comfortable and have a strong sole. Would purchase again.

These sandals are exactly as pictured and fit perfectly. My 8 year old grandson put them on immediately, ran around and loved them. They have multiple ways to adjust the fit to the foot, across back, strap over top, and elastic laces. I like the fact that the front is solid over the toes for protection, but have have many cut outs for coolness. I can't speak to durability at this point, but they seem very well made and sturdy. We are so far, very satisfied with this purchase.

Bought these shoes for my grandson for summer wear. I got the black and yellow because the kid loves Pikachu. He was thrilled because of that and showed them off to all his cousins. As far as quality - fit as expected, seem to be made well and he said comfortable. Time will tell once a 10 year spends the summer putting them to the test.

These are totally awesome! My son loves the way they look and they fit great. He loves this type of sandal shoe, closed toe-like and nice non- skid when hes playin outdoors, in the river, in the sand, or anywhere he wants 2 go bc we live in a rural, tourist area and we do a lot of outside activities. Great shoe. Def recommend.

Update: 1 week down, and this is utter garbage. How can velcro detach in less than one week?Original: Using these for lounging, and they are awesome!
