Brain Games - Large Print Crossword Puzzles (Purple)

Perfect size, but slightly difficult
These are not necessarily beginner crossword puzzles. I bought this for my boyfriend because he wanted to try crosswords. He IS enjoying it, though some of the puzzles are tough. (Even for me, and I've been doing crosswords since I was a kid.) The book is great because it opens flat, and it is nice to have the larger print.EDIT: my boyfriend actually sort of LIKES that they are somewhat difficult for him. He is learning things (at 61!), and enjoys that aspect. Puzzles that are easy are not fun.

Large Print Crossword Puzzles - great for anyone with vision problems
We bought this as part of a gift for my Dad who is losing his eyesight. He loved the large print and said he could almost see without using his readers. I'll be ordering more of these.

Readability
Not enough ink when printed, I have been in printing over 50 years. Some pages were hard to read due to ink fountain settings. Too many clues involving names of people or places which is a cop-out for the author. I liked the large spiral binding and also appreciated the thick paper.

Large print puzzle book
We got this book as a gift for my mother in law. The large print and spiral bounding is great for her! I am going to look for over puzzle types in this series for her. Wonderful for people who need large print!

Fun, random, obscure, laugh-inducing, head-scratcher...take your pick. All of the above
It's a sturdy book, large print for sure, but so far (6 puzzles in), they are rather challenging. I like crossword puzzles a lot, and my husband is fantastic at them. Even he was stumped and found some of the clues rather obscure. They have a theme written at the top of the clues, but on one for Jane Austen, there were clues about Dungeons and Dragons and nuclear war programs! We just laughed at the randomness, but he ended up walking away in defeat, which I have NEVER seen him do on crosswords. Between the two of us, we have gotten most of the clues solved. On the ones I've done on my own, I am missing a letter or two, because, as I said, the word is totally obscure or the clue isn't quite right for the word.Overall, it is decent, and we will keep working it, but I probably wouldn't pick it again, and I definitely wouldn't give it to someone who was so-so about crosswords.
