I bought this jump starter in April of last year, and used it several times without issue starting everything from my ATV, to a neighbor’s car, then a lawnmower. I’ve even used it to charge devices like tablets and cell phones. The rugged carry case makes it perfect for taking out on the trail while four-wheeling. Today I was helping my father-in-law get his tractor started, for the second time, and didn’t get the usual voltage readout. Dead in the water. I checked it out on my personal vehicle, again no display. Long story short, I reached out to Anker customer service and spoke with Rion, who couldn’t have been more helpful! Not only did he patiently listen to me, he covered my loss regardless of the warranty having expired a month ago. I’ll be receiving a whole new device shortly! I’ve been a fan of Anker products for some time now, with good reason. They’re well made, and work reliably. I'm really glad I purchased this jumpstarter, I have been on a kick about Roav because I like to buy the best and when I learned that Roav is owned by Anker buying their products was a no-brainer. I have three Roav products in my car and multiples of their dashcams one for each of my family's vehicles. My sister has another jumpstarter for her vehicle it works well but this one for about the same price as the one she bought will crank out 1000 amps which was important for me since one of the vehicles in my household is a 3/4 ton pickup and has had battery issues in the past and jumpstarting that thing off a sedan is ill-advised. This jumpstarter replaced a bulky portable battery charger in most circumstances. Overall if you purchase one you won't be disappointed. In the last year or so there are certain things I look for in the technology I purchase: it has to use USB C, it should serve multiple purposes, it should be easy to use, and it has to work when I need it. This check all of those. It also come in a convenient carry case. The cable tell you the voltage of the battery in question. Roav includes a charging pouch that's fire resistant to acknowledge that Lithium-ion batteries have a potential weekends that no one likes to think about.

I tried this one to replace another I had that was rated at a lower CCA rating, 400/200 I think. While I doubt this one is truly 1000 CCA, it does start the car much faster. The other I have requires the car to crank a long time, and it heated the wires and melted part of the insulation. This does not, as it puts out its peak current quickly, so it has not required much more than a short burst to start the car. I used this for quite a while with a weak battery, and it worked very well.One thing not mentioned is that this supports USB-C PD up to 18W. I didn't expect that, but it does. It also charges via USB-C. It does have a barrel plug for DC out, but I don't see that ever being used.I will say it is quite large for it's AH rating. It's fine, but it's not as heavy as you would think.

I’ve got to admin I was a little skeptical about this product. Someone who already owns one recommended this, but the reviews were all over the map. Having used it now to start a completely dead 2007 Honda Pilot within seconds of attaching it to my battery, I’ve got to say it’s a pretty good package. I like that it has a carrying case. It charges quickly and included clear, consider instructions in multiple languages. I don’t really understand the complaints about the cable length. How far apart are the poles on your batteries? This isn’t meant to be used remotely. You pop the hood, connect the clips, set the unit down, start your vehicle, and disconnect within 30 seconds. Just a great product that comes highly recommended.

Reliable, well built, like all ANKER products. It comes in a nice carrying case as well. The problem here is that the jumper clips are only long enough to span the width of a battery. This creates problems. Most new cars have stuff piled on top of the battery and the negative terminal is blocked (my last 3 cars were all like this) with a “ground” terminal placed remotely from the battery (I think this is not just a space issue, but to keep sparks away from the battery). This means, in my two current cars, that the ground is two feet away from my battery while these cables are only 6” long. When my wife killed my Honda Odyssey battery the other day, she used youtube (thank goodness for her resourcefulness) to figure out how to remove the air filter manifold to access the negative terminal and she was able to jump start the car. Not the easiest method when a simple longer cable (by only another 12”) would have done the trick.
