Q: I'm concerned about noise. What is the decibel level of this blender?

Hi. It is not a silent machine even at its closest level of operation. The higher the number you see the dial, the louder it gets. It's not deafening but, let me say that I live above an apartment and I would not use the machine at 0500 or 0600. I don't know if they would hear it but I will not take a chance. Having said all this, I really enjoy the blender. It's a great product. Very powerful and the vacuum is a great feature. Hope this helped.

Q: I make smoothies using frozen berries w a little milk . will the "smoothie" setting work with frozen berries. if not, what options for a smoothie?

I make my smoothies with some fresh veggies that I grow and only frozen berries and fruit. For your application, I would add the milk first and then gradually add the frozen berries using the frozen preset and the vacuum on. Although I use water as the liquid, I have used huge frozen strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries, and everything was pulverized into a smooth drink. Even the seeds of the blackberries and raspberries were pulverized. If it gets too thick, you may have to add more milk. I usually start with 1/4 cup of water, and add more only if needed.

Q: Is it hard to clean? it shows the blade is attached to the blender, so you can't take apart and clean the curves/crevasses?
