Backpack Sprayer

It is as described. Works good.

I ordered the RL Flo-Master 614 Backpack Sprayer. It doesn't match of what the photo shown above of what I used before. This product no longer Made in USA. Amazon needs to make the changes of the photo and the country of origin. You can find the photo on Root-Lowell website under Lawn & Garden then Lawn & Garden Product Index, the photo is third one on right from the left if you scroll down to 614. I will find out how it performs and will comment again in the future.

While many facets of this product are very good, I did find the spray wand and head to be somewhat cheap and lightweight. I would have expected a bit more for the price. The directions were also a bit lacking. The straps holding the sprayer tighten with ease, however, with some use they start to loosen and the sprayer falls away from my back making the pump handle harder to use. It did perform as advertised, however so overall, I am pleased.

Item works well and has quality components. However, using it requires redneck rig modifications. The harness has quality components but is configured in an unusable way. Specifically, the way it attaches to the unit, also the horizontal chest strap could serve to stabilize the unit if the attachment points were in the right place. Most annoyingly, the hose is about ten inches too short. People over 6 foot will have their reach limited by the short hose. Not being able to fully extend your arm is ergonomically uncomfortable and results in missed opportunities to reach elevated areas.
