Works great I usually go for the expencive Sony but I don't use it a ton so it was just fine for me... I haven't used remote not really sure how to but I didn't read manual or need it so I can't speak on that

Personally , I think This set is not worth of money($99). High-Speed shutter Sync of trigger is only 1/250 HSS , which is that for the outdoor portrait shots with a sunny day, you are not able to use the hight shutter speed(such as 1/4000 , 1/6000, 1/8000 ) to control ambient light (the sun) , then use your flash to light your object (as key light ) or Fill your object as fill lightPS: Flash itself works at 1/8000 though, and its good quality and compacthope they have a trigger that works at 1/8000 HSS like Godox X1T

I love Altura Photo products. My only issue is this flash didn't come with battero like my Canon one did. But overall it's a great flash. great for soft box too

Im having the same problem as Shawn. The RT-305 adapter I received was a cold shoe...no connecting pins to communicate with Sony cameras. It will not trigger the flash as my camera doesn't "see" the adapter attached. My Sony A6500 doesn't recognize it and won't let me put flash mode into WL. There is just one tiny aluminum pin on the bottom not like the bottom of the AP-305 that has wires as well. I have it on the correct way with the buttons facing toward me when I look into the viewfinder and the dial tightened all the way

Don’t be deceived by the picture that show two flash units like I was !!!! It’s only 1 which is deceptive
