YIIA Mini Metal Tin Bucket Citronella Candle Outdoor and Indoor, Set of 8

1/2 star 😡These candles don’t stay lit outside even when there’s NO breeze. The wicks are flimsy. If there is even the slightest breeze they go out. The tin container is not high enough on the sides to contain the wick so in order to use them I had to place them in a bowl. Completely useless on their own. They need a better container. Also, when lighting be very careful not to burn your fingers because the tins heat up in seconds. Especially when relighting as the flame spends more time on/near the tin. I gave them 1/2 star because once I could get them to stay lit - and I had to light two to get enough scent - they kept the bugs away but I had to use bug spray too so who knows, maybe they don’t work at all. They are very, very small.

I do keep this candle inside as it gets too hot where I live and does melt it. However, at night, it puts off a great amount of light and looks great on my patio table. The jar itself is so pretty and the blue color is so vibrant. The pattern on this is very different. When you have the lid on, you can't really tell it's a candle, just looks like a jar. The main part of this candle, it works. I have a rectangular patio table and when this is lit and in the middle of the table, no one gets bit and no flies are around. Even just beyond the table a bit, still no bugs.

I purchased these for a graduation party. We were fortunate to not have many bugs out that night, so I can't speak to how well they keep mosquitoes away; however, these candles were very long-lasting and added a beautiful decorative touch to the party. I burned them for three hours and each candle burned down a little over a 1/4 of an inch. I placed them inside mason jars that had pea gravel or sand in the bottom, so they would stay lit in the wind.

Maybe burning all of them in a confined space would do some good, but outdoors, near the sofa, they didn't do anything at all. Bugs were flying around, and never noticed this. They are pretty, but useless.

I had to knock off a star because as much as I love these for the outside patio, they do not last long.

More than happy when my candle arrived. Larger than I thought and container so much prettier than I expected. Great price for such a nice candle. Nice scent to keep those mosquitos away.

I purchased these for use on my deck to add some ambiance and keep the bugs away. They did both successfully.

Love the patterns and colors! Work great on our back patio.
