I enjoy being a cheapjack, but not when it comes to mustard! I have a large stock of Chinese-origin mustard powder, but I am unlikely to ever use it. Colman's works well in a cheese sauce and when making Welsh rabbit. Consider blending the powder with supermarket creamy horseradish sauce, to bring the combination to a higher level. This product has a narrow window of excellence: Let it rest for say five minutes after making it, and use it up completely within a half an hour or so. Use the minimum amount of water necessary to turn it into a thick paste. That special flavor needs time to develop, but it is fragile. If you WON'T take my advice on preparing Colman's, buy yourself a kilo of the Chinese variety, and save yourself a load of money. Bon Appétit!

I got it April 29 and the expiration date is this coming July. This year right now is 2023.

It took years, but we finally found the exact flavor of hot mustard that you get in a good Chinese restaurant. I first thought a pound of the mustard powder was more than we would ever use. It did take awhile (3 years) but it is gone and more is on order. In the interim, I read the reviews of a competitor and thought I might save a little money. That was a BIG mistake. I doubt I will ever order any other hot mustard besides Colmans, ever again.

美味しいし、使えるんだけど、ちょっと量が多いですよね。これの半分くらいがあればいいのにな～、と思いつつ、サンドイッチのマヨネーズに混ぜ混ぜ、ディップに混ぜ混ぜ、アボカドのサルサに混ぜ混ぜ、チキンのマスタード焼き、等、せっせと使っています。パッケージは爆裂に可愛い！

水で薄めるだけで美味しいマスタードができます。蓋がちゃっちくて、ちゃんと密封されてるか少し不安。

One thing I don't like about living in Japan is that both Japanese and American yellow mustards are simply to mild to enjoy. Colman's mustard powder allows me to mix my mustard to the strength I require and adore. I also use the powder to add zest to stews, toad-in-the-hole, casseroles, etc.

賞味期限はずれでした。5ヶ月半でこの量を使えと！からしですよ！事前に、期限についてAmazonさんに問い合わせましたが、到着してからキャンセルしてくださいと、、、香りもいいです。お味も良いらしいです。ただし、香辛料は期限が製造日より3年ほどあるのでは❓次からは期限を確認してから仕入れてくださるとうれしいです。継続的に購入したいので、ぜひよろしくお願いしますm(._.)m
