Q: How thick is the seat cushion in the middle. Not including the wings. And how wife is it?

it is fairly thick. I've had it for a few months and it has not felt worn down. It is a pretty good chair so making it your wife could seem reasonable if you're into that.

Q: how long does the chair last?

We have two of them-- for about 25 months now, but just ordered one replacement chair (different brand, "secretlab") yesterday. On ours, the seat cushion began cracking about 5 months ago and the back-rest is starting to fail as well-- If you buy it, buy the 5 year replacement insurance as well. I noticed the price yesterday was one-hundred-nine doll_arz. Despite our chair failing, that is still a good price for a disposable chair like this if you can get two years out of it. On our second chair, the armrests began cracking & failing at about 18 months. I ordered new armrests directly from GTRacing, and they were NOT cheap and took a long time to arrive. Again, for the low price I mentioned, it's a good chair, but when the price is higher, look somewhere else .
