Or maybe I just wont pack as much crap..
I bought this for Jeep trips out into the wilderness so I did not have to worry about ice. Lets just say that the CFX-65DZ (dual zone) was plenty big for food and beer for a 4 day trip. Almost wish I went with the CFX-35 just for room in the back of my jeep but it was still way smaller than the 80Q cooler I was planning on bringing. Remeber that you need ice in a regular cooler (25-40% room taken) so you can get away with a smaller fridge. Or maybe I just wont pack as much crap... Waeco (a division of Dometic) makes a grip load of accessories that are currently not available here in the US but I am reaching out to them to find out if and when...POWER:I mostly powered this unit from my cig. lighter but it is only hot when the ignition is on. It would work even better if it was plugged into constant power. Waeco makes a power cube that plugs into you cig. lighter and then the fridge into the cube that has an internal battery. That way it is always getting power. I also bought a 12V to 24V dc step up converter that brings the amp draw down from 5.5 amps to 2.6 ( a significant drop when you are looking at power consumption). Unfortunately I did not have time to wire it up before my trip. In addition I bought a 400w inverter which pulls the draw down to 0.63 amps on the unit but I need to put an amp meter in between the battery and inverter to see if that is true. One morning I did have to get a jump because I was using the inverter and there is no voltage control when using the 110VAC on the fridge.OVERALL:I give this unit a 9.5 out of 10 (4.75 stars rounding up to 5). I am looking into running a dual battery system in my jeep so I can keep constant power to the unit.ACCESSORIES: All by Waeco...The power cubeSlide out tray with hold down strapsWireless temp control with LCD readout on what the fridge is reading and I think it can be adjusted at the wireless remote (way bitchin).

It will eventually cool everything down
works well, uses very little power. I wish I would of gotten the non dual zone. The dual zone model has all the cooling coils located at the bottom side of the cooler, where the Freezer section is or can be with the dividers. This means when using the cooler with out the need for a freezer, the bottom side freezer area is much colder than the rest of the cooler. It will eventually cool everything down, but if you have water near the freezer section, those bottles will freeze.

Only okay....would not buy again though
Edited to reflect Dometic response. 2nd time trying to edit it, first time did not go through for some reason.Well built, nice design. Not long like ARB 60 litre fridges so much easier to carry. However, as others have said, it is difficult to figure out what temp to set the fridge at. The temp display is not accurate when the dividers are out and running it all as a fridge. The manual states this will happen because the temp sensor is in the freezer section. The only time it is accurate is when the dividers are in. In this case, it will display the temp in the freezer and you'll have NO idea what the temperature is in the fridge section. This is a major problem in my opinion. To run as a fridge, you need to set temp anywhere from 0 below Celsius to -4 Celsius to get it in the 4 degree Celsius range. Crisper is much warmer. I had been running it at -1 or -2 when it had drinks in it and not too full. Crisper would be around 6 degrees Celsius which is a little on the warm side. Went camping this weekend and had the cooler full for the first time. It did not effectively cool. The crisper was well above 10 degrees Celsius when I had it set to -2 and I had some food spoilage as a result. Then you get into the dance of turning it down, but you end up freezing some of the items in the fridge area.If I could go back, I would not buy it because it is a dual zone. Because it is a hybrid type unit, there are compromises and as a result it doesn't perform good. Maybe I was a bit naïve to think this fridge/freezer is a set it and forget it appliance like a household fridge, but it isn't. It needs to be constantly monitored which is difficult because the temp sensor is not accurate, and there are no wireless sensor options for the CFX65.Pros: Price, construction, USB port on front of fridgeCons: Inaccurate temperature sensor (should have one each for the freezer and fridge zones), uneven cooling due to small cooling zone, no wireless temperature sensor accessories, loose fitting lid that doesn't compress seal much
