Living and working in Japan has its challenges, one of them being the massive amount of regulations and ordinances, and base policies imposed on SOFA status personnel, both active duty and civilian (not complaining). One of them is, if you go snorkeling, you MUST wear a snorkeling vest. This meets that requirement and I am pleased. With the strap around the back-side, it does not 'come up' into your face. I've had old ones that were always floating up and getting into my face.

Does what it's supposed to. I bought it for myself and family who are not strong swimmers, but could probably snorkel without vests. However, having the vests just gave a sense of security and allowed for snorkel/mask adjustments mid-swim without treading water. Easily inflatable and deflatable. Mine still rode up a little bit despite using the strap between the legs. And when I tightened that strap, it just gave me a wedgie… But I suppose it would have ridden up even more without that strap. Overall, I would buy this again and think I will continue to use this for snorkeling in the future. By the way, this fit pretty well on me (5'4", 125 pounds) and my sister (5'7", 125 pounds). It fit my father as well, but the waist strap just barely because he is a little Asian man with a bit of a pot belly.

I used it for a trip to the carribean and it worked well. It folds pretty small (always good to avoid checked luggage) and is easy to inflate/control. Would recommend this for the layman snorkeler. It does look sturdy, but the material is definitely thinner compared to what you get when going on organized snorkeling tours which see a lot of wear. As such, unless you plan to spend 6 hours on a daily basis in the sea, this should hold upIn terms of size, this worked for me fine but just. I am average sized, but needed to have the vest at the longest expansion to fit me.

Looks good. Feels good. Does it's job. A little hard to inflate while floating in the water, but with practice it should not be a problem.

I bought this for snorkeling and was happy with the product expect that it was difficult to inflate and deflate. I don't know if there was a problem with my inflation tube. There was no option to select a size and what i received is a Medium and it was big for me. I read a review with a picture of the orange one which fits her perfectly but this one was a bit big. Maybe i should have ordered the orange instead since that seem to be smaller.

Great purchase. The vest is nothing but a positive buy. It fits both my wife and I and is easy to inflate even when already in water. I use this vest for long snorkeling trips where sometimes you need a little break. I fold the vest and store it in my pocket until one of us is ready to use it and inflate it "on-site". I'm more than likely purchasing another vest so we can have our own when we are out. You simply put it around your neck and fasten it, then you inflate it with the valve. The vest is best for facing down into the water while wearing it. It will support you while you use your snorkel and while you paddle.

It took me a while to figure out how to inflate it since it did not come with any instructions-you must unscrew valve and push down to open valve to release or inflate. Works perfectly well. I think it is more difficult to use if you're a busty woman or have a long torso because the length of the straps only allow for one or the other. I'm skinny and petite and had the waist belt tightened all the way. I'd say that anyone taller than 5'10" or with a waist/bust larger than 38" will find it very snug or hard to close.One con: the belt that goes between your legs really chafes and can give you a wedgie but this is the design of these snorkel vests.

Excellent well made product. Had to modify straps as they were too short. Once that was done it worked great. Kept me from getting tired while snorkeling and gave me confidence in the water as I am not a strong swimmer.

Can't go wrong for a perfect snorkeling vest. Had a previous US Divers vest about 40+ years ago which was virtually identical. This one meets quality, functionality and value right on. Easy to pack for travel in a small, flat package.

My husband found it very easy to pack in his suitcase to take on vacation. He found it very lightweight and easy to wear. He liked the option of the inflation device if he needed it.

Awesome vest. Fits well. Easy to pack. Great flotation in the water. When you need a little boost to float, buy this. Easy to snorkel with it on, it does not get in the way while moving.

packed very well, so light and takes up very little room. Very easy to use, and gave me extra peace of mind when I was out snorkeling without companion. Plan on taking it any time we feel water will be part of the fun vacation.
