Q: Will it fit 2016 jeep cherokee

I'm not sure, mines in a 2013 SRX, and my wife loves it, my thought is it should fit just turn the steering wheel 180 degrees if the wheel spokes are in the way

I don't believe it would fit a large steering wheel. It does not work for me as I am a bit larger man and it leaves no room for me in the seat when it's on the wheel.
