Excellent value
I love the material! Sturdy but soft, very breathable. Fit is spot on at the waist - make sure you measure! Sewn down pleats and 22" drop makes it easy to sit. Snaps on both sides for a secure fit. Looks great with or without a belt & sporran. The pockets fall vertically like holsters when you sit, super convenient. I can't wait to order another one.

Bought directly from seller's website
Brice at UT Kilts is the most helpful and nice person you could hope to do business with, not to mention they offer REAL WOOL kilts at amazingly affordable prices, and they are exceptional quality. I ordered 2 premium 8 yard wool kilts, and ended up exchanging them 3 standard 5 yard kilts. The process was simple, and Brice communicates through email almost always the same day. While they do have a smaller selection of tartans available on their website than some places, Brice has told me he can pretty much get any tartan available for special order, so if they don't have what you're looking for, be sure to ask before you go elsewhere. Also, their Business style utility kilts are unique and look like a traditional kilt with internal pockets as opposed to the bulky cargo pockets of typical utility kilts. The special order options are extremely affordable and have a good selection. I HIGHLY recommend this business.

Order actual inch measure, not pants size
For what you pay this is a decent low-end ultility kilt. Material has a number of small weaving flaws that do not distract. Sizing seems true. The standard length should work for most guys. A tad short on me as I have 36" inseam. No bother. Not too heavy and not too light in weight. Good 4 season kilt. Quality much better than the first twill UT Kilt I had. The black watch tartan is causal or dressy, as you like. To get the right size, use a cloth tape measure where you normally wear pants. Order that number or go up to next size if in between. Do NOT order your pants size. I buy 36 pants, but the actual measured inches is 40. My size 40 kilt fits like it should. Remember: no underwear guys. A kilt is worn "commando". It's a powerful feeling! Wear this over to Home Depot with a pair of work boots and a tshirt and enjoy the reaction. :-)

Decent quality, comfortable
As much as I would like to give this five stars, there are just a few minor things holding it back. The material, while it seems durable enough, isn't quite as thick as I would have liked and is a little rougher than expected. This isn't anything major (it's still thick enough that the wind isn't going to send it flapping around, and it doesn't seem like it's going to tear easily, even with lots of use), but it isn't quite as nice as another kilt I purchased for a similar price a few years ago.The buckles on the side also seem a little thin. Again, they should be just fine, but they seem like a decorative add-on than anything purely functional. To be honest though, they are mostly decorative, as the snaps on the kilt do a more than adequate job of keeping it together. So it's not anything that's really going to affect the wear, I'd just like to see something a little more durable. As far as the fit goes, mine's a little small but I knew that would be the case going in. The size I needed was currently out-of-stock for the tartan I wanted, so I had to go down a size. It still fits, if just slightly tight, but the sizing was accurate. And as far as looks go, this is perfect. The colors are fantastic, the pleating is stitched in so that the folds stay crisp (and the stitching is barely noticeable, from a distance it just looks cleanly pressed), and the pockets don't stand out. Overall, I was on the fence between a four and a five star rating, it's only a few minor things that held it back. Still an excellent kilt for the price!

Is not a skirt it's a kilt!
This kilt was actually a great find. So many of the kilts I have seen and purchased online have been made of thin material and poorly made. Not this one. It is made of hefty material and well stitched. It's not wool, but if it were it would probably be very expensive. It still kind of feels like wool, and is even a little itchy, but it's not bad. It is a more "modern" kilt design with pockets but I like the pockets. Some purists might disagree but this is very nice evolution of the kilt. Overall it's a great kilt and I will be buying more in other tartan / designs. I definitely recommend this kilt. Just be aware if you are new to kilts that they should be worn around the belly button line and do not use your pant size or you will be disappointed with the sizing. Just measure around your belly button line and use this info to determine the kilt size.

Awesome Kilt
Awesome kilt, practical and comfortable. My only note it that its maybe an inch or so too short putting it at the top of the knees.Looks great, nice adjustable waist and hip bands make it customizable within reason.

New Style for Me
I’m American but I’ve got some rich Scottish heritage, so I figured what the heck, get my family tartan and try it out.I do not regret it. This kilt is easy to put on/fasten/remove, the pockets are super convenient and fit an iphone 13 pro max, so very spacious. It’s a very comfortable kilt - I would recommend it! Gonna be a new style for me, especially outdoors.Didn’t have an issue for measurements after looking up some videos on it… just do your research, double check your measurements, and you’ll be fine. Theres a little room to adjust the sizing with some buttons.

Seems a good choice for my first kilt, and yeah size up!
First some fit notes: Defintely ere on the side of larger. I have a really slight build, 5'11" 155 lbs or so, 30" waist. I initially ordered the 32" going on sizing up 2" and the fact that I like a trim (not "relaxed") fit in pants. But for Kilts since they wrap around that's pretty much irrelevant. The 32" ended up being too small even on furthest button. With 34" I'm on the middle button -- the buttons and straps give a lot of room for adjustment, so I'd say going up 4" would be safe. I do wear it higher on my hips, while it compresses my stomach a bit it's actually helpful for posture and just seems to make sense. I like the length, one of the reasons I went with the UT over DNKE kilt. It's just above my knees but note I have relatively short legs / long torso.WRT objective stuff, the overall quality is quite good for the price I think. It seems to hold its shape well after wearing it for a few days and the pleats are crisp. The material is woven, not printed, which for me is a must. The colour is tasteful and overall gives an impression of quality. I can't say for sure but I think they will hold up to wear well.Subjective observations: Kilts are every bit as as awesome as I thought they would be! This probably isn't the perfect kilt for me, but I can see owing a number of them for different usages. I found that it was comfortable around 15C (sweater weather) but you def start to feel a draft. It's a bit warmer now, at around 25C (slightly too warm) I begin to wish for a lighter material. The material itself is a bit coarser than I'd like and just a bit too scratchy. I'm also not a fan of the clasps .. they are fiddly, and without them I could just unsnap the thing and be out of it in 5 seconds, try that with a pair of pants. Although come to think of it someone else could unsnap them too which wouldn't be good haha. I also find the pockets to be way bigger than I need, sort of in the way and detract from the lines. Looking forward to trying out one of the light weight more hiking oriented kilts out there. Unfortunately UTKilts doesn't ship their version to Canada so might try the DKNE..Overall, I'm loving this! My kids won't let me wear it around town ... never thought that I'd be the one lecturing my kids on inclusivity and gender norms, but that seems to be where we are lol ... but it is the perfect outdoor garment so I will def be taking it camping and sneaking out of the house when they aren't looking.

SO BEAUTIFUL!
This skirt is amazingly gorgeous, this flow tho!I love love LOVE it! I ordered two colours, based on the other reviews and I'm so glad I did. A classic case of 'you get what you pay for'. They also arrived much faster than I expected them to, within a week of ordering them. I'm extremely happy with this purchase :)

Very thin and short length
Most standard off the rack kilts are 24" length, but this is 22". That makes it a kilt for very short people or women as women can wear it as a skirt. The material is extremely thin so it hangs horribly and wrinkles easily. If I could give it zero stars I would. Not worth the money that's for sure.
