A very nice and well-made fingernail clipper
A few months ago my trusty "Trim" fingernail clippers finally gave up the ghost. I had those clippers for over twenty-plus years and they always left a pretty clean cut on my fingernails. No worries, or so I thought, as I went to purchase another pair. I bought the same type and brand but it appears the quality had gone down. The new set mashed and tore the nails more than cut them. I really had to bear-down on the clipper's lever to remove the nail (which is what ultimately broke the lever) and then spend a lot of time filing the nails smooth. I tossed the, now-broken, clippers into the bin and purchased another brand at the store. This was no better and, after having the same experience, these were tossed as well.So on to Amazon I went in search of a replacement. I didn't want to spend a ton of cash on something as mundane as nail clippers, but I also didn't want to buy more junk. I narrowed my search down to a few different brands and read the reviews. I tossed-out any of the clippers which had an inordinate amount of people gushing about the product while acknowledging they received the item in exchange for an "unbiased review." I have a marked distrust of those kind of reviews. So I finally decided upon the Harperton Klipit and made my purchase.I chose the Klipit as I thought it looked well-built and designed for the job. The reviews appeared to be mostly by people who actually purchased the clippers too (Warrior, whoever you are, that was a great review). I quickly received the clippers and put them right to work. And I can say these clippers are awesome (this is not an exaggeration). They made sharp and precise cuts on my nails which were almost smooth. I really didn't need a file when I was done. They were also easy and comfortable to use.The Klipit comes in the box as shown, and includes a small pouch (zip-lock) for storage. You also get a nice little brochure which includes various offers from the manufacturer. I am quite happy with my purchase so far and would recommend these clippers to friends and family.

Precise, clean cut with no frills!
I have had several nail clippers in the past but none of them as good as Klipit. The difference was obvious the first time I used it. It feels solid and has a nice grip for fingers to hold it but the real difference is the way it clips the nails. The clipped nails have a clean edge and the cut is precise with very little effort. There is not much play between its clippers so I went quickly through all the nails. It's small profile and the nice pouch it comes in make it an easy travel companion. I would definitely buy it again in the future and highly recommend it to anyone.

Wow, simply wow.....
I have always wanted a better nail clipper. I have tried a lot of different kinds, from the .99 cent jobbies you find in a large fishbowl at the cjeck out at your drug store, to the more expensive name brands you find in the nail care section of various stores. All of them had the same short coming... they all 'mashed' the nail in two.I was browsing Amazon one night and something caught my eye. Enter the Klipt. On a lark, I decided to browse further and learn more. I read the reviews, I visited the website. I even investigated pictures of it on the Web.My next order included a pair. I picked up the package and opened it. I was shocked. Not only were the well engineered and well-made, they also had a heft to them that shouts 'quality'. So, I immediately set about trimming my nails. The experience, while not transcendental, was enlightening. I have never ever before trimmed my nails and not had to use a file afterwards to remove the rough jaggies left behind. Until now. The were CUT cleanly with no rough spots or burrs. And even if I had somehow managed to to do so, there is a high quality section of the cutting arm that has a diamond file built in.All in all, these are really a class act. If you care about your nails, and want to trim them fast and cleanly, these are the clippers for you.

I lost the best fingernail clippers I've ever owned back in 2002
I lost the best fingernail clippers I've ever owned back in 2002. I've bought numerous pairs since. Cheap ones from places like WM or WG, to an expensive pair from Sharper image (which were among the worst). The key to a good pair of fingernail clippers is: they have to be sharp, and the cutting edge's must come together flush. That's THE most important detail, even if they're sharp as razor blades; if they don't close correctly, they're worthless.Klipit clippers are very sharp, and cut accurately. They're ergonomic and have some weight to them; which gives them the feel of quality. After 14 years of wasting money, and using sub-par clippers, I think these will work well for years to come. Plus they have a great warranty. Well worth the price.

Due to the outstanding reviews here, I may have set my expectations a bit high for these. I will say that these are far above the quality of clippers you find at the grocery store cosmetic aisle. The edges are sharp and the jaws came together in a uniform line, unlike my last set from the store that only clipped cleanly on one side. I have found these to make trimming my six year olds nails much easier, as he likes to squirm and any lack of precision is apparent. I had read the other reviewers mention that filing was no longer necessary with these, and this is.my biggest disagreement, these trim a very sharp cut through your nail and I still prefer to soften the squareness they form.
