We rented a condo for our vacation. It had pictured a recliner, but when we got there, the recliner was missing. My husband sleeps in a recliner because of health reasons. I bought this chair and couldn't be more pleased. The feature I am impressed with the most is the 170 degree recline. He can now sleep with his legs elevated higher than his chest and keep fluid from his legs. It will now become our "travel buddy" wherever we go anymore.

I had no idea what I was missing. Ordered this as a second chair for guests since I liked the zero grav one I got from HD. As soon as I reclined in it, I never wanted to move again. It puts your feet higher than your head and it it sooooooooo comfortable. Nice sturdy cup holder will fit larger containers. Cushioned seat. No elastic holding the pillow on, so it won't degrade in the sun and become useless. The pillow is attached with a hard plastic bit that slides up and down as needed. Also, pretty gorgeous.PSA: you have to turn the lever *down* to attach the tray horizontally, which is something you'd only understand if you bought the chair. I attached it wrong at first and thought it was slanted. Just a dumb oops.Edit to add photos for comparison with a cheaper model.

There is so many similar zero gravity chair, I compared kinds of brand, but choose the portal brand. The most primary reason is the unique pattern and armrest with a 1-year quality warranty. Also, the price is more appropriate than other brands.When I received it, I felt pleasantly surprised due to well constructed,  superior material and more sturdy. It provides XL size areas and a great pillow to rest. It was coated with thick padding for you to sleep comfortably and easily. The side table and drink holder build at armrest that ensures that phones, snacks, drinks, books at your fingertips.I think it highlights the quality and value for this price, it brings me a super satisfying experience with the most comfortable and security feeling, I will recommend it to my friends.

It is very well made, comfortable, sturdy and looks great. Love the moveable pad that supports head or lumbar. Delivery was fast, it was fully assembled and had no issues.Cons:It is very heavy, awkward to carry, very very hard to open and set up and the neck pad is not thick enough for reading but is great when sitting up as lumbar support.My mom was sent to a rehab that had a hard sturdy very uncomfortable chair as the only chair in her room. I have pain issues from fibromyalgia, arthritis and herniated disks so I couldn't st aaas y long to visit. Now, I can stay as long as I want. I hate opening it and it can be hard to get it to go back at first and I have to grab both ends of armrests and fling myself up to get it in upright position but it is all worth it to be pain free while in it. I've stayed visiting for up to 6 hours and although I'm up and down it has made it possible to be mainly pain free and SO IT IS FABULOUS in my book and I recommend. I fold it up and push it out of the way against the wall and it's there waiting for me. Luv it!P.S. too heavy and awkward to move and carry around or up and down stairs a lot.

This is the second time I'm attempting to reach out to Portal to report that:1. The grommets all rusted, immediately, staining the cement patio in our brand new house2. The navy blue chairs that were not supposed to fade, did so immediately, and are now very unattractive.3. The covering on one of the chair handles is peeling offWe researched many chairs before purchasing Portal, based on what we thought would be a quality chair (4) that would last for quite some time. Please contact me to discuss options, now that we need to buy another product, hopefully more reliable.

Comfortable, sturdy, well-built chair. These arrived in boxes that were a bit beat up, but the chairs were in perfect shape.The steel framework is perfectly powder coated with a durable, almost scratch proof finish. I expect no problems with corrosion at all.The fabric seems durable and colorfast, certainly very comfortable. The pillow slides nicely on the simple cloth "track" and is effortless to adjust. I am 5'10", my wife is a bit shorter, we both found that the pillow was easy to slide into a perfect position, and not hot to lie upon like some closed-cell foam pillows I've used!The chair unfolds right out of the box without any assembly. Not as heavy as I expected from some reviews, but very sturdy to sit in and while reclining, never felt out of balance or in danger of tipping. The locking levers work perfectly, we shall see how they hold up in the months to come.The little side table works easily, slides out from under the chair and hooks on a sturdy knob. I could quibble about the position, it's a little low & far forward for me, but the design seems likely to last well - just be certain to fold it away under the chair before you put it away.Some have said it is difficult to carry these chairs, it isn't but there is a trick to it! Carry them by holding the bottom frame - they are easy to hold there and won't unfold or pinch unexpectedly. When you get to your favorite spot, flip them right side up, unfold and enjoy.I got this chair for star gazing with binoculars. When two arrived at the house, my wife said "Why on earth did you get TWO of these?" That attitude lasted about one minute - until she sat in hers!"It's sooo comfortable! How clever of you to get two! It saves me the bother of stealing yours away!" LoL!A terrific chair, well worth the price!
