Toppik Colored Hair Thickener, Temporary Hair Color Spray for Root Touchup with Hair Thickening Fibers, 5.1 oz

This is by far the best product I’ve ever used to hide my hair loss! I’ve been using another colored spray in fiber product that was pretty good but Toppik brand is superior by far! It seems like there are more fibers in their spray than the other brand.A few tips:Style your hair first, otherwise you’ll be cleaning paint off your styling tools as it will transfer onto them.Section your hair and try to spray towards the base of your hair close to your scalp. This will help you to avoid dulling your hair, which if you’ve been using spray in products then you know that’s an issue. After I apply the product to my hair I let it dry completely then I brush through it.A few last minute touch ups and hair spray and you are done!I wash my hair every other day and the product lasts perfectly! I don’t need to touch up at all.If you are considering trying this out don’t wait!! It’s the best! And it is about $20 less than the other brand you’ll find on Amazon! I initially started using the fibers but it looked terrible and got EVERYWHERE, I did not like them at all and it took 20+ minutes to even the fibers out, this spray can is where its at! Super easy to use, takes minutes or seconds and look natural and great.I started thinning at 22 and its progressively gotten worse, I started using minoxidil and I've noticed a small difference but my hair is still brittle and thin and not very nice unfortunately. I'm 25 now and going to continue using minoxidil for another 2 years to see how it looks long term before taking other measures.This product really, really boosts my confidence and helps me feel good about myself and my hair again. Being almost bald on the crown of my head with a receding hairline so young made me look not how I wanted and I was very unhappy with how I looked and always wore hats, this really does boost my confidence.The product is easy to use, shake well and spray in, I do it in small little sprays not just one long continuous one, and I use a mirror or my phone to look at the back of my head in another mirror. I use a hair dryer to let it dry a little on my head then I use hairspray over this product (use hairdryer again to dry it) and then it seems like that seals it in a little better then not using hairspray but sometimes I don't use hairspray either, just depends.You need to shower before bed otherwise this will get on your pillows and in turn when moving around you'll wake up with black/brown all over your face. It comes off super easily in the washer but I don't want to wash my sheets every single day so shower before bed and you'll be fine. If you rub your head it does come off on the hand but I don't know who rubs their head too often. It washes off hands/clothes very easily as well. One of my showers in my house has a plastic insert and it stained the insert so if you wash it with bleach or scrub it, it will come off but just be aware of that.Overall its a great product, it doesn't last a super long time (maybe a month per can give or take a few weeks) but it works and does what I need it to. I've bought three so far, I use it almost every single day.**Also, if you're styling your hair with this, dry it with a hair dryer first then use a comb/brush afterwards, if you use a brush first without drying it creates brush marks/lines in your hair and defeats the point of using this**

I ordered this in Dark Brown and when I spray it on my dark brown hair it comes out in light brown streaks. It's bizarre. I am not sure why it shows up so light when it's listed as being a dark brown but at the price I paid for this it looks terrible and was such a waste of money. I've tried 5.99 root cover up from Target that matches my dark brown hair better. The only positive thing I can say about this is that it doesn't run despite my being a heavy sweater. I drip sweat so I was nervous I would have brown running down my head at some point while having this on my hair but I was totally fine. Other than that, I wouldn't buy this again for this price and it coming out so much lighter on my hair.

Stays put,no runs,no mess. Comes out during wash. Doesn't make hair fall out. Great product. Only the color is a little off,slightly darker,but blends well

The first time I used this I didn't think I liked it. It was much different than the Toppik fibers. I felt I needed to go ahead and use it up because money is tight in my house now. I tried it in my hair a second time and I liked it much better. You have to give it a minute to dry and then you can style your hair. It makes my hair more manageable (not softer) but easier to style. It is a little messy on the hand that I use to part my hair. I, like another reviewer find it works best if you part your hair and spray at the root. I part thin sections and keep doing that until I don't see my scalp. It covers my gray a lot too. I haven't dyed my hair in years. I use to have medium to dark brown hair but now I have a lot of gray too. I don't dye it now because it is thinning. This stuff makes my hair look a lot less gray. It does make your hair feel a little weird but it looks great! I love the fibers but I love this even more. I sometimes use them together. The spray is much quicker and easier for me to use. The fibers get all over my sink when I use them but the spray doesn't. If you don't like it the first time you use it then experiment with it and maybe you will end up loving it.
