Great for little ones
My 1.5 year old loves this - she needed something a little more challenging besides the plastic ring set and this is perfect. She can stack them easily , the holes are way smaller so it takes some concentration and coordination but she is working at it. Colors are vibrant, it's a challenge, has different variations of shapes which is nice. Great quality

Great set of Ring Stackers for your Toddler
This is not my son’s first ring stacker. We have one from B. Toys, but he was having difficulty with stacking the rings on the pole. I thought he (16 months) might be behind on this milestone until I questioned if the pole on the B. Toys ring stacker was just too difficult for him since it’s not a straight pole. So, I ordered this 3 geometric ring stacker. From day one my son was able to take the rings off and put them back on. He’s been playing with them everyday since we’ve gotten it. He’s also trying to stack other toys (Tinker Toys) now. He went back to the B. Toy ring stacker and successfully put all those rings on the curvy pole. I’d definitely would recommend this ring stacker as a toddler’s beginners ring stacker based on my experience. The colors and weight of the rings are very nice as well.

2yr old's favorite toy for a week straight.
We own a few Melissa & Doug toys. I bought this stacker a few months ago for my then 19 month old son who was getting frustrated with his donut stacker because they wouldn't fit out of order, this stacker allows experimentation with order, size and color. I also want him to have more wooden toys & fewer plastics. The straight pegs on this make stacking & sorting so much more fun for him as all the blocks will fit any of the 3 pegs in any order. He plays with it everyday and it's also good for dual play, helping to teach sharing & turns by each one taking a turn to put on or take off a piece. So far the blocks have been thrown, banged together & they are holding up to toddler usage. A good solid piece of work, bright colors, a good price & something that can be used for many years, and passed on to future generations.UPDATE...2 years of play & this set has held up. There are a few chips to the edges, but that's to be expected. It is still played with & is a toy I will hold onto.**Update** 6 years on and while the toy has gathered dust the last 3 years, it held up great to his play. It is now packed into a box of durable wooden toys to save for possible grandkids.

Love it!
Got it a few years ago from my then two year-old son. He played with it every day and had a lot of fun using it. He has a grown it, but it’s so durable that my other son will be using it as well.

Fun twist on an old school toy!
We love Melissa and Doug products and this one is great. The only issue is the paint does come off on the inside of the holes due to the friction of them being moved on and off but my son loves this. He is obsessed with the old school plastic ones so I thought he'd enjoy this. I was correct. He looked amazed when I gave it to him. This is what you want when you give a toy to a child. Its colorful and bright. The square ones are great because they are cut like a puzzle and they fit together. Its a nice added touch. This is not a toy you want to get wet because the paint is water based. The age was changed on this. I saw it for 6 months and over but now its 2 years and older. This was a smart change because kids like to put things in their mouths and that's not a good idea with water based paint. My son loves to throw things and this has done quite well with the abuse. I saw other posts about the sticks maybe being dangerous and I could see that. However, with monitoring kids will be just fine. My son is 2 but isn't sturdy on his feet so I put it up in the window seat in my room so he cant fall on it. I also did some research on whether it has lead paint in it because of some of the questions and reviews. While lead may be present it is no where near levels that would be dangerous. Lead can be found in everywhere (air, soil, water) but its only dangerous at high levels. This is from the CDC website. "Only a certified laboratory can accurately test a toy for lead. Although do-it-yourself kits are available, they do not show how much lead is present and their reliability at detecting low levels of lead has not been determined." So the reviewer that tested for lead at home probably doesn't have an accurate test. I have somewhere between 1-2 dozen Melissa and Doug toys and they have all been of great quality. Again, maybe some work on the paint can be done but this is my sons favorite toy and its such a minor issue. Even with other paint it probably would wear down inside the holes eventually.
