True Hit
Elmer Bernstein's score is one of his best, and that's high praise indeed, when you think of all his other great scores for westerns. Even Glen Campbell"s rendition of the title song is very moving.

I've always enjoyed that song and glen campbell does it really well. I'm glad to finally have my own copy of the song(the movie with John wayne is great too.

I have loved this soundtrack for years
I have loved the True Grit Soundtrack for years. Had it on Vinyl, but never could find it on CD until now. The left-out tracks, and extra were interesting to hear and learn about too, although I can see why the alternate song and lyrics were dropped. I thoroughly enjoy being able to hear the main soundtrack again.

Two words, True Grit
What can I say? It is my favorite movie. This soundtrack is great!I listen to it while using my treadmill. I listened to the soundtrack when I was a kid.....over and over and over....I'm still a John Wayne fan.When he died, an era died with him. If you love Western themes, this isa got to have. A little 70'ish but I love it.

i remember when my parents had this in vinyl (the white cover with the pic of john wayne on it... with the glen campbell song) - it IS what came out as the soundtrack to the movie true grit and it's awesome. i'm as excited to get this on cd as i was when the soundtrack to paint your wagon came outthe song by glen is wonderful...
