Great temp monitoring system
This is a straight forward temp monitor and probe system. I have previously owned the Meater probe bundle and had so many issues with connections lose. I ended up throwing it out after 2 years of use.I looked at these Thermopro monitors and love the product this far. In have used it to smoke brisket, pork butts and twice smoked spiral hams. The temps are very accurate when compared to my Thermapen which is nearly 2 times the price of this unit. Another function that I appreciate is that there is no Bluetooth or wifi connections to fail. The probes are wired, yes, but that is a minor flaw, well, not a flaw in my experience compared to true wireless temp monitoring. The remote display is a direct transmission from the main monitor. It is convenient and highly portable. It's magnetic so I place it on my refrigerator while in use. My only gripe is that periodically the unit will turn itself off while in the middle of a cook. According to the manual, this is a built in feature to conserve battery life. The unit will air shit off when not receiving temp fluctuations for a period of time ~10 minutes is what I recall. This would be nice if I could turn that feature off. Battery life is really great on this unit. I like that it's AA and not some rechargeable crap that's dead when you want to use it.All in all, your is a great temp monitoring system. Great value, great experience, good quality.

Excellent for everything
I have use this to monitor my oven while baking bread/cakes, on gas grills (left, and right side) to measure temp fluctuations, and mostly in my smoker for temp alarms. It does everything very well! The interface does take a little getting used to as far as setting a probe for “food” temps or for “grill” temps, and for setting your temperature alarms. Once you get it programmed, probes connected it instantly transmits to the smaller unit, updates every couple of seconds, and has a surprisingly impressive range! I had a smoker in the front of my house, and walked through the front door, down stairs, and into the basement and was still getting temp readings. It’s also very nice to have audible alarms, vibration alarms or both. 11/10 recommend

Great thermometer, and amazing customer support
It's a great thermometer for smoking meats or using it in the oven. My only complaint is I wish I could set the alarm on the receiver instead of just on the base unit. But enough about that:I've been using this thermometer for several years now. It was great at first, but then a couple of the probes stopped working right within a year. I contacted Thermopro and they sent me four brand new ones, no questions asked. Here it's three years later, the device is great, but it start acting quirky, like losing signal every so often, and the probes went bad again. Contacted thermopro, expecting some tips on how to improve the wireless signal for the unit, maybe some setting to change or somehting? Nope, they sent me an entire new unit, again no questions asked. I don't even think the unit was still in warranty. New one works great, and the old one is still...quirky, but I use it for less important monitoring. Never had such good support before from any company, you guys defivitely got a lifetime customer out of this interaction.

Excellent for whole birds, and two zone cooking.
This is my second ThermoPro grill thermometer. The product itself is very straightforward, and easy to use. Some folks have talked about how they stop working after a few uses, and I can only think of two explanations:1- They forgot to turn it off, and don't know that batteries run out. It'll probably die after a week or two this way.2- They didn't take it off the grill, before they raised the temp to burn off grease. This is what happened to my last one. I opened my smoker vents all the way, and just plain forgot about the probes. They do not stand up to 650+ degrees very well. I don't think this is an actual defect. However if you're looking for a product that can survive at those temperatures, you'll want something else.I used my last one at least twice a week in the summer, and few times a month in the winter for two years without any issues. I expect the same from this one. It's reliably accurate. Boil water on the stove, and stick a probe in. It'll read 100°C +/- 1°. Stick one one in your freezer, and you'll see it matches whatever you set it to. I actually used one of these to calibrate my oven after it was delivered. They could have designed it a little better. It wouldn't have been much more expensive to store user preferences in nonvolatile media. As designed the temperature alarm preferences are reset every time you take the batteries out. This may not seem like much of an inconvenience, but if you're the kind of person who takes the batteries out after every use it gets tedious.
