I bought this acupressure mat to help me relax and maybe help me with my back pain. 7 years ago I had a lil accident and my back on my right side has been hurting since then. When I did consider getting help and was referred to a massage therapist, the pandemic came, and so I stayed home and didn't attend any of the sessions. Today is the first time I used it. When I put my back on it the very first time, it didn't hurt like I expected; I was wearing a silky top as a barrier to protect my skin. However, my back started itching like crazy as if there was something on the mat that I was allergic to. I quickly googled to see if it's a common reaction to these kinds of mat. Apparently, it is not. I had the idea to do it bare-skin. That's when it worked for me. Yes, I felt the pain from the "needles" sinking into my skin; my blood was pumping; after some time I felt a cold feeling, and then after some more time a warm feeling. It was not uncomfortable. I couldn't feel much on my right side. I turned a little and lifted my arm to feel something and I did. I stayed on the mat for 15 minutes. Yes, my back was all red with little "holes" on the skin. But, I felt great. That's why I stayed so long. I felt better. Guess what? My right side feels better and I can turn my head towards my right shoulder without pain. I am not saying it is a miracle/cure-all product, but it works and can help you feel better. I did for me.

Ive been using acupuncture matts for almost a decade. I use it before bed, in bed on bare skin. Ive never experienced a mat as pointy as this one. These tips are very intense, and not for the faint-hearted. If this is your first time trying a mat, I recommend looking for another. Consider this one an expert level mat.

I've actually enjoyed success with this mat and pillow combo. Both are foam filled with discs that remind me of lotus flowers with plastic pointed petals. The points put pressure on the skin. After the first few minutes, the discomfort evaporates. The first time I used it, I fell asleep and woke up about two hours later refreshed and relaxed. I have back issues, the result of a serious auto accident and this seems to provide relief. Additionally, I had annoying and painful leg cramps that would plague me at night. Since using, I haven't experienced a one. I am a notoriously light sleeper but since using I have enjoyed more continuous sleep than I ever have. The purple color is rich and the mat has a sri yantra imprinted on the back. The carrying case is a convenience. Wear a light robe or t shirt when first using because there is initially a degree of discomfort.Both the mat and the pillow seem well constructed and provide natural, non-pharmaceutical relief. I had no expectations going in and have been pleasantly surprised. If yo are looking for natural ways to relieve pain or just to optimize your body's healing abilities, this combo is worthy of your consideration.

This really is a strange item to me, but with my back pain due to fibro and RA, and bursitis I had to try it.IT HELPS!My back pain and hip pain has been reduced by 75%, just by laying on this 20 minutes a night, on the floor. I have not gotten any relief in my neck, so I can not speak to any other body parts.I also have a son who works for FedEx, and he says this has helped him a lot as well, to relax and sleep well at night, due to before he had a lot of leg cramps.It is very strange the first time you lay on it, as it sorta hurts, but not really. I do not advise that you move around while laying on it, as that is what hurts. The first time I left my shirt on, and then after a few times, I was able to use it on my bare skin by just wearing a sports bra, or simply lifting my shirt up. I lay it on the floor, and watch tv for around 20 minutes and that helps me to not have my usual leg cramps at night, and throbbing hip pain.This really is fantastic!

So, I saw a Facebook ad for one of these that cost over $100. I read the reviews, and decided I really wanted to try one, but was not willing to pay $100 for something I wasn't sure would work for me, from a Facebook ad for a company I never heard of.So... I hit Amazon and found a bunch and picked the cheapest one that would get to me the fastest, figuring with Prime, I could return it easily if it didn't work.Well, it does. I am so pleased with this purchase, and I am flabbergasted at how well it does exactly what it says it will do.The first time you lay on it, it WILL HURT. It is tolerable, but it hurts. But...about halfway through the 10 minutes, it stopped and I got a warm, fuzzy, relaxing feeling. I've been doing 10 minutes and each time, its easier and when I finish, I feel loose, relaxed and my back and muscle pain feels much better.I'll be increasing my time soon.If you have wanted one of these, please do not hesitate.

I ordered the black and yellow with white, they sent me the blue... Ok I can live with that - the 2 dollar difference I paid for the color isn't a deal breaker. Slightly annoying but the mat works. I was under the impression this was longer and wider based off of others I have seen. Make sure you check the dimensions on these, and don't have your heart set on a color because chances are you wont get the one you order!It doe offer relief, and works as it should.
