I did not open the box at all... my mother who I ordered this for passed away and I didn’t use them. Due to COVID or maybe because it’s a policy they weren’t returnable...but I repeat I never opened the sealed box of 24 peptamen milks.

This was the only formula that didn't make my husband sick. Luckily he has had the tube removed

I actually don’t want to rate by stars because I just got this and don’t know how well it works yet. But, right off the bat - I am generally a good sport about downing beverages that are good for me because I am ill. But this one... I can only handle portions at a time. It tastes like rancid milk and metal. I’m going to see how it is if you mix it with berries, but I tried mixing it with frozen mangoes and that was a mistake. Now it tastes like rancid milk and rusted metals that was poured into a glass that someone just drank a mango smoothie from. Also, if you are reading this, I am very sorry you have to look at the Peptamen product. It is very hard to be sick. Get well soon, to you or your loved one.

If you noticed the other review of this product you may get the impression they didn't like the flavor and thus giving the product 2/5 stars. This product is meant to be used with a feeding tube, not taken orally which is why it is UNFLAVORED. This works great for it's purpose, supplemental/complete nutrition replacement via feeding tube. That said, check out Boost VHC, 1/8th the price very similar nutrition and even more calories to boot.

Doctor prescribed for Sibo for 2 wks as alternative to Rafaximin antibiotics. No other food allowed as the goal is to starv off bacteria. If taken orally, use a straw to by pass as many tastebuds as possible, it is very unpalatable unlike Ensure or Soylent.Day 2: Feel stomach upset, minor sensation of burning in the stomach and nausea for approximately 30-60mins after taking each serving.

This stuff is ridiculously expensive.... My dad needed this through his feeding tube after having 4 strokes and being diabetic he needed to be on a 1800 calorie a day diet. It was a better deal for us to buy it off amazon and eBay than getting it from the manufacturer and with Prime it always arrived right on time. Since his feeding tube has come out my mom has used what he had left over as a base to make smoothies and easily keep track of the calories and nutrients he's getting. She divides it and adds fruit because on it's own it tastes like cornstarch.
