This had starred two of my favorite actors, Ed Harris and Samuel Jackson are great in every role they do and did a brilliant portrayal there of old colleagues and friends facing a reckoning; great plot.

It's a slow paced movie but Samuel L Jackson made it worth watching!

Excellent movie! There’s two storylines running parallel. Suspense begins at the start and travels through out the movie. When you think you know all the answers, you get turned around to something else. Once reaches the climax of the movie, you can go back through the movie to understand what really happened! This is one of my favorite movies. I’m a big Samuel Jackson fan so all of his movies are my favorites BUT even if I didn’t know the characters in this movie, I would still love it!

Good acting as always from Samuel L Jackson and Ed Harris but lot of confusing dialogue that really didn't understand. The story line by Matthew Aldrich is further fragmented and so full of holes that you just have to toss credibility overboard in order to make it through. The outcome is no surprise. pretty obvious and defiantly not a "thriller" Starts out pretty good buy really goes down from there to the very predictable ending. Worth watching for free but sorry I had o use my credits to see this.

Great actors and acting, excellent direction, fascinating cinematography, haunting sound track, and an engrossing plot make me wonder why this film went straight to dvd and didn't open in theaters. Characters you can really care about, involved in thought-provoking, moving situations, make this film emotionally touching in addition to all the suspense. Gorgeous cinematography, with scenes shot in a stark way, from unusual angles, added to the tension. The main character's occupation is one you would never think about, but once he explains it, it seems obvious that someone would have to clean up murder scenes. The job even seems mundane, until one leads him into a complicated cover-up with surprising twists and danger at every turn. I took a chance buying this film, because I usually don't like thrillers, and I enjoyed it much more than I had thought I would because of its psychological and emotional depth in addition to the plot that just grabs you.

Samuel L. Jackson runs a company that cleans up crime scenes, specifically murders. He gets a job at a wealthy house but then worries he might have covered something up and be involved in a scandal.Jackson’s character is nuanced. He has a lot of regret and angst about what he might have done. He’s also dealing with the loss of his wife and his young daughter played by Keke Palmer. He’s got some other strong support from Eva Mendes, Ed Harris and Luis Guzman. It makes for a good crime drama.

The movie can be slow at times but makes for a good watch. The movie does have a very good twist at the end. Without giving too much away, The protagonist owns and runs a crime scene clean up company. He gets an order and completes the order the same way he always has. When he goes to get the payment he finds the homeowner has no idea what he is talking about. He plays it off but becomes worried that he was used by someone who knows the procedure to release a crime scene to his company. It could mean someone on the force, that he retired from, is the killer. The entire movie makes a good use of several methods to keep the suspense. The movie could have been faster paced but I understand why it was not. Preformances were all good.

I had never heard of this film. I never saw any ads for it in the cinema. I see now, that is was a critical and commercial mega-flop. Which is pretty strange. The film is well written, directed, acted. It has a good plot and excellent characterization. It has a stellar cast of Sam Jackson (in my opinion one of Americas top 10 male actors of the modern age), Eve Mendez provides eye candy, Ed Harris is terrific as the lead's ex partner turned baddie. I have no idea why people hate this film as much as they do?I saw it late at night on C5, a channel I barely flick to. I saw Sam Jackson and thought, I'll give this a go. I then enjoyed it very much. Brought it on DVD and watched it twice in as many weeks and still enjoyed it a lot. So I am puzzled as to why so many don't like it? But then I don't like Mr Browns Boys or Jim Davidson and they sell so many DVDs they live in mansions. It has a 6.1 on IMDB which I use as a fairly good indicator generally, usually IMDB is either a bit high or a big low for me but if you like Sam Jackson and you want a decent couple of hours get this.

We saw this on TV some time ago - but as its not been shown in recent times, as far as we have noticed, had to get this DVD. It's a good, well written plot that keeps you guessing and with Samuel L Jackson heading the cast with Ed Harris not far off plus Renny Harlan directing, its a cracking mystery film. 5 Stars

"Cleaner" is a polished little gem of a b-movie noir thriller and a surprise entry on the cv of director Renny Harlin who steps away from the slam bang action world to focus on a more character driven low key thriller.Working with a small cast of characters (all played to the hilt by a top notch bunch of faces) and keeping the story tight as a drum (not one of the 86 minutes of the running time are wasted) Harlin shows that there is more to him than blowing stuff up... Ok so the ending is a little too Hollywood but that to me is just a minor quibble.The bad news is that the dvd don't do the film justice on the presentation front, surely the commentry from the American disc could have been ported over and why is the film presented in 1.85:1 widescreen when it was shot in 2.40:1???Ahh well at least the film makes up for these small glitches!

Excellent story, depicting the dilemma of a retired police officer now working as a forensics site of crime cleaner.In this story a falsified order by his own friend to clean up a crime scene, a cover up, unwittingly involved, and his realisation.The family and friendship loyalties compromisation, and upholding the law.

This was quite slow to start with but once it got going, well, it was brilliant and there is a surprising twist in the tale.
