Tokoname: One of Japan's six ancient kilns, a town of pottery colored with history. Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture, located on the west coast of the Chita Peninsula facing Ise Bay It is the gateway to Central Japan International Airport (Centrair), with 6km east-west and 16km north-south. ∙ It is known as a pottery town nationwide due to its long and narrow terrain. Tokoname ware, which has a history of 1,000 years, is one of the six ancient kilns in Japan.
