Size was smaller than expected. Ease of loading batteries and mounting was good. I mounted it on a storage room door so that when approaching the steps leading to that room the light would illuminate them. Only after stepping up two of the three steps did it activate. I will have to re-think mounting locations as this does not work. Value was acceptable but so far motion detection has proven poor. NOTE-UPDATED REVIEW: Apparently this light needed some sort of break-in period to work. Now it comes on at a distance and does a good job of lighting the steps. I RECOMMEND this light for value and quality.SIX MONTHS REVIEW: Added comments after six months use. I have a pantry door away from lights which has a set of stairs difficult to see when approaching. After trying various locations to mount this light I chose to attach it to the door itself, about waist height. Perfect solution. Comes on as I approach from six feet away and lights up the stairs so I can see where I am stepping. Adequate light output for this purpose. Great product.

I was concerned that these LEDs would lose most of their brightness in very short time like every single LED flashlight I have ever used. They are bright as heck with new batteries, and lose 60% of their brightness after just a few uses. Sure, the batteries last a long time, but I replace them more often because the light is not sufficient. So far - after a few months of use, these are holding up pretty well. I put all three of these in my gun safe (36" square safe), and they light it up pretty well. I thought they would be brighter, but figured I would install all 3 in the safe and anticipate the brightness to drop significantly after a short time. They don't seem to be losing much brightness yet. The motion detection systems need a hand waved in front of them now to turn on, when I first installed them they were quicker to react. But so far, they seem to do what they are designed to do.

I love this product! I’ve purchased 3 sets so far and have placed them strategically around my house. I’m an early riser and hate using lights around the house only to have to go behind myself and turn them out. The magnetic base allows me to remove them to replace the batteries. I have both the battery and rechargeable lights but, I like these better in the event of a power outage. I have placed them in closets and hallways and any non-occupied room like bathrooms and spare bedrooms. The light is bright enough to shower with if so needed. The pantry and front and back egress or also great places. I rarely turn on a light anymore and it’s neat to see that they respond quickly and quietly. So long as you’re moving they remain on. So they work great at the coffee pot and under the sink. I’ve only had to change out the battery in a couple of the lights that are used in the hallway and bathrooms. The oldest lights are a couple months old on the original batteries.A few cons but nothing to change the 5 star rating.I would like to see an upgrade model in the near future. The upgrades would help out on how long the batteries last. First I’d like to be able to adjust the intensity of the light. The hallway and bathrooms do not always need to be brightly lit. Second I’d like to be able to adjust the motion sensor sensitivity. I’d like to use additional lights in areas with some movement, like sitting areas. I’ve tried using them in the bedroom and living room but their sensitivity is so good that any motion sets them off. Third I’d like to be able to adjust their light sensitivity. Some places like the hallway come on even during the day because of low lighting. If you leave a light on they won’t come on but that defeats their purpose. These updates would easily increase the life of the batteries and open up more places that they could be used.

I loved these when i first installed them! Super easy install, bright, the motion sensor works well but one of them is now only working sometimes and the light has become super dull. I was really disappointed because they worked so well in the beginning :(The light stopped working after about 2 months of use - the other two still work well tho.*UPDATE* They sent me brand new replacement lights for free - great customer service!! Did not have the same issue as with the first set :)

It was great for a while then you put in new batteries it turns on for a few seconds then doesn’t turn on again.Only turns back on when you open the battery latch and close it agin then it’s on for a few seconds then off and doesn’t come back on. I am very disappointed. I really like these 😕
