Just what I wanted
I was using the Komplete Audio 1 by Native Instruments but the main issue I had was if I wanted to work on music early in the morning and not wake up the neighbors, I would use my DT 770 Pro headphones, the only problem was I couldn't get them to play very loud since I don't think the Komplete Audio device had a good headphone amp (if any at all). The Audient ID4 MKII has MORE than enough power to make my headphones loud. I also like the mute button. I just wish the mute button was on the large volume knob but not a big deal. The ID4 also feels great and feels sturdy and well made. I am definitely not returning this.I just wish I bought it today as it is not $10 cheaper than when I bought it.

Cute lil audio interface.🤗
Great mini audio interface. I like my audio interfaces to have a nice compact design and this delivered on that for me. Getting rid of my other one due to wanting everything to be either USB-C or thunderbolt 4 and above based connections.

My Struggle To Get Good Audio Is Over! Absolute Audio Bliss!
For three years I've been painfully struggling to get consistent studio quality audio using three other very-well-known brands of audio interfaces and field recorders. This morning was my first date with my new Audient iD4 MKII and I'm in LOVE! Same room, same mic... my trusty MKH 416, same Mogami XLR cable, same audio editor, TwistedWave, same MacBook Air, same DT770 PRO headphones. The only change was my new iD4 MKII. And my audio files need virtually no post processing! (My mic technique and room acoustics have been evaluated as pro quality by a nationally known audio engineer to voiceover talent.) It all came down to changing to an Audient interface! The only reason I bought the iD4 MKII is because I only need one mic input. I could kick myself for waiting three painful years to make the switch to Audient! Ultra-quiet, studio quality audio with just a touch of warmth for less than $200. After downloading and installing the iD4 drivers, the interface was truly plug and play on on MacBook Air. I'd rate the Audient iD4 MKII audio interface higher in every category if I could!

Quite good
Its a good interface, but it is not plug n play. Expect to do some research if audio interfaces are new to you. The gain knob is very nonlinear; past 3:00 position and it massively boosts gain. Seems to be very clean gain (up to ~60db max), but be wary of microphone boominess. The LED indicator rings around the gain knobs do not seem to work on my model, I read that they plan to do a firmware update to correct this. Gain staging is kind of a pain without being able to physically see when the mic is clipping.

The sound is crystal clear.
The materials are of such good quality.

Great for voice recording in DAWs, not the best for streaming.
Honestly, I didn't like it that much. I was very excited because everyone hyped the built in preamps of this unit. And yes, they're clear and transparent, and loud enough to drive a SM7B (90% of the gain maybe 95%) but not with 0 noise floor like some claim. I also have a Lewitt Connect 6, and I find the Lewitt to be way easier to use and customizable.Out of the box, with the ID4 software, it's very simple feature wise. Right click the icon to select sample rate and buffer size.No mute on mic button, moving the preamp to 0 could be away to mute but not convenient. It has 2 devices to select as input output, analog 1/2 and loopback 1/2Out of the box there's no way to have channel 1 as a Mono signal so to set up a discord and voice conference call, you will need Equalizer APO to make the channel 1/2 be a mono device. On OBS just go to advanced audio properties in the mixer and click "down mix to mono"I would say this interface is great for voice recording mostly to utilize in DAWs, like Adobe Audition, Reaper, Ableton, so you can apply all your effects there since you have no DSP, just raw analog console preamps (which are great, that and the converters are the top selling features). But If you are a streamer with less experience in audio that want something more simple to work with discord calls, separated audio tracks, more control of your sound and DPS effects go for something like the Lewitt connect 6, or Lewitt connect 2.The preamps on the Lewitt are almost as good as the audient, couldn't hear a significant difference to say hey! The Lewitt is really bad next to audient. That would be a lie.And both drive my Beyerdynamic dt770 pro 250ohms almost equality a little louder on audient. But overall very similarly. I choose to keep the Lewitt

Nice to use professional gear.
I host/record/edit a weekly 1 hour syndicated pre-record talk show with more than 520 episodes to date. Starting two years ago, I began using my own home studio with phone/online interviews. I decided to switch from a USB mic to my higher grade "ENG" dynamic mics and this interface is much nicer that cheap plastic ones.It will let me use phantom power if ever needed and has very clean sound. Plugged right into my Windows 11 laptop and the downloaded apps work fine with Adobe Audition. Happy that I broke down and got it.
