Slimline and Does the Job Perfectly
The Knightsbridge CU8350 Curved Edge 1 Gang Blanking Plate is exactly what I needed. It has a nice slimline design. Whilst not flush with the wall it blends nicely against the wall and looks neat. The curved edges give it a modern touch, and the quality feels solid.Easy to install and does the job of covering an unused socket perfectly. If you’re looking for a simple, clean solution, this is a great choice!

They work
Not a bad price, although there's not much to them and they look like what they are on the surface, i.e. squares of white plastic. They're pretty easy to fit, although the instructions that come with them are in such a small font that you need really good eyesight or a magnifying glass to reads them. Fortunately, there are plenty of online sources to show you where the wires go. The important thing is that they work and this is a great improvement on the dimmer switches I had installed by two professional electricians, one of which failed within the first month and another in about a year.

Simple swap of a dimmer switch.
Straightforward swap of a broken one for a new similar one noting which wires went into which terminals. Simple enough and works fine so all ok.

No Hub required, will only connect to 2.4GHz WIFI.
The media could not be loaded. The socket looks and feels robust enough for a basic white socket. Both power switches have a green led indicator light underneath. Both switches are spring return type switches. There are no USB or USB-C outlets on this socket. There is one Live, One Neutral and two Earth terminals at the rear. The App is basic but it functions very well. The entire socket can be powered on/off as one or either the left or right outlet can be powered on/off separately. The socket on the main menu can be given a name in the app and once you select the socket, each outlet can be given a separate nameYou can also set a timer or a routine for each outlet depending on your situation. My one little gripe is that you will see the list of either sockets, switches etc in the main menu list, but you cannot power an item on or off from here. You have to select the outlet and then power it on or off.My reason for buying this socket is to separately control a TV and LED ceiling lights in my stepsons bedroom. This will hopefully solve the problems of him either watching TV too late on school nights or falling asleep with both lights and TV on until morning.I will use the schedule to power off both outlets on the socket at the same time every school night. This will hopefully save the usual drama of me having to walk upstairs multiple times a night to tell him to turn the tv off.Now I know he can still turn the socket on again at the switch but I will set plenty of power off schedules for the night so that he will eventually give in and stop turning it on and then go to sleep.A schedule that he cannot delete or adjust unless he was able to access the app in my phone will be the winner for me.I will purchase another to replace the socket that he had his PS4 plugged into.

Great smart plugs - for some situations - but not all
These plugs look smart, are easy to fit, and work well with the Smart Life app. Setup in the app is very easy, and they show as 2 sockets on one device that can be controlled individually or together and assigned different names. They take a little getting used to for manual use as the switches are sprung, and operate more like push buttons than rockers and always return to what would traditionally be an 'off' position. There is a green light that shows when a socket is turned on, but it seems this doesn't function until the switches have been paired so out of the box there is no way to visually tell if the switches are on or not which is not ideal. The first big issue we've found with them is that if there is a power outage they do not remember their state and will always be turned off after the power has returned. Once they reach a time where you have programmed them, that will do what you programmed. However, we were using one socket on our fridge freezer as the socket was out of reach, so wanted to remote control it when defrosting etc, and we wanted to monitor power use. We had not set any timers, as this use didn't require it. We get fairly regular power cuts here at the moment and were regularly finding the fridge freezer stayed turned off after the power came back. We've resolved this by setting a 'turn on' timer for every hour, but this means we have to disable the timers when we need to defrost or it will just turn itself back on again. The next problem is they have a maximum load protection. The description does say not to run high load appliances, such as hot tubs, for extended periods of time but it is hard to know what that translates to. We have one socket which has our washing machine and drier attached to it (each plugged directly into one of the double sockets, not through a splitter). Again, I wanted s smart socket as the sockets are out of reach, and because we wanted to monitor energy use. It works fine if we are running either the washing machine or dryer. However we cannot run both at the same time as both sockets turn off after a few seconds, every single time. This means we're going to have to switch this back to a traditional socket as this is clearly too high load.If these issues won't impact your use case then I do think these are good sockets. We have quite a lot of them, and in most situations they work really well. However, do be careful if you have appliances you need to stay on in all circumstances, such as a fridge freezer, or if you are looking to run high load appliances, and maybe look at alternatives.
