Give Me Back My Bones!

This books is so loved by my grandson. The pictures and theme (a pirate who has "lost" his bones underwater when his ship went down) are excellent and grab attention. The text rhymes, so is fun to read (over and over and over per request). The bones featured are the main ones, (not all of the little bones in the human body) and as the pirate finds them, he is put back together so that in the end he can stand on his sunk ship and view all of the fish in the ocean. Each page has a specific set of bones that are featured in the rhhme and the picture and great pictures of fish are swimming around them. Fun and a great learning tool.

My 3 year old wondered across this at our local library and OMG. IT IS SUCH A FUN BOOK! the best part is it uses the legitimate medical names for the bones which sticks in there head with fun rhyming verses like " I miss my fair phalanges". My 1.5 sits transfixed while I read to my son, whisper repeating the terms.

This book would be great to read at halloween, all about me, and pirates.

Educational and fun. Very cute!I’ve bought a lot of children’s books and this is one of the better ones. The rhyming element and playful wording was great. The kids loved it on the very first read and it held their attention. It’s also fun for a parent to read. 10 out of 10!

Wanna help your kiddos learn without them realizing they're learning?? Read them this to get a basic grasp on the skeletal system. The rhyming is so fun and creative, the illustrations are interesting and engaging, and thr whole concept of the book is great!! I'd love similar books on other subjects

My husband and I both work in the medical field. This book is adorable and uses the real names for bones. We love it! Can't wait to give it to our boys for Christmas!

One of my sons is nuts about skeletons. He loves this book. We found it in the library and he cried when it was time for it to go back. We had the book for two or three months because of covid lockdown. He still wanted it read every week. He is three and can now name all the bones in the book. We brought it for him. He is so happy.

10/10 great book: we love reading it to our toddler, who gets a kick out of the great rhymes.
