I’ve always, when I need to get some pillows. Go to Walmart and get a couple pillows. Easy-peasy. I was under the impression that pillows came in two flavors. Polyester or feather. So, in my head. I was just making a job, into a finished job. But, life is not that easy. And even the two flavors I knew, come in different classes. And Walmart must be down there, close to the bottom. These pillows (although twice the price, I think (it has been 20 years). The premium was well worth it. And, I’ll do it again if I get to buy pillows for somebody else.I read the lower star ratings. To see what, grinds peoples gears, about these pillows. And they say that, “they are not puffy enough”. I cannot agree with that. Talking about a “flat pillow”. Somehow they fit these pillows into a envelope for shipping. It’s about as thick as a deck of playing cards. Somehow. But, open it up. And a couple hours later. The pillow is full. And the “flat” part of it’s life. Is in the past.

Really hard to find good pillows. I’ve always bought down alternative pillows because I originally thought I was allergic to feathers. But then I read a study showing that a feather allergy is very uncommon. It must’ve been the dust mites that I was allergic to you instead as it was noted in the study. Anyway, so I gave it a try. These are firm enough to hold your head up but soft enough to be comfortable. I am a side sleeper and a back sleeper. I thought these would be comfortable if you were sleeping on your stomach though. they are pretty firm. I think they’re really good value.

The pillow is flatter than pictured. Even after the vacuum seal is removed, it did not fluff up. I wanted fluffy and poofy, but this was not it. The feathers poke its way out of the cover and into my face. I just expected a real nice fluffy pillow. Anyway, a lot of the pillows end up giving me neck pain, but this did not. It is only missing a star for not being fluffy. Is one of my decent buys, it is also my first king size pillow.

After sleeping on a foam pillow for years I decided I want a goose-down pillow for better comfort and support. I was wrong. This pillow is not soft or comfortable. I ordered the medium firm thinking it would support my side sleeping. It supports me like a rock. The pillow is hard and does not cradle my head giving me more neck pain. The pillow is loud. I can hear every crinkle under my head. And try picking it up with one hand to turn it over. It is heavy. I am very disappointed. I don't think I can return a pillow that I decompressed from its plastic and slept on. So I will have to eat the pricey price tag. Don't get me wrong. It is a high quality pillow. Well made. But not for me.

It took me three tries to find good down pillows on Amazon, but I think I finally got them. The 85/15 mix of goose feather and down, for me the right plushness as a side sleeper. The tags on these pillows actually match the content description on Amazon. There are no funky smells with these pillows a factor I attribute to being made in the USA, which was a requisite after returning two other sets of pillows that were made in China because of the disgusting smell of them, among other things. The fabric shell is very nice and well-made with no feathers poking out (the shell is made in China, but filled in the USA). I found them to be a little "crunchy", so washed them. They washed very well and the washing softened the fabric, so no more crunch. The pillows did shrink with washing and drying, but that was fine with me because the pillows I ordered were Queen size, but my pillowcases are standard sized, and the compression added a bit more firmness. Note that puredown down/feather pillows can vary a lot, so read the description thoroughly to save yourself some time.

Like laying your head on a bag of concrete, but with crunching feather sounds - sharp pin feathers quickly pop through the case..A less costly feather pillow was FAR superior. I should have read ALL of the reviews..The brown piping is attractive, but the pillow is otherwise horrible and a very bad value.

I wish I would have purchased the pillow years ago.Thick, firm, no smell, no poke-through and after 6 months it still seems like new.One concern. It is so firm it seems as if there might be foam pellets in it. However, I'm so happy with it I'm not about to cut it open to find out!
