Great quality performance, ease to clean, value for money

Excellent griddle plate
The media could not be loaded. The griddle arrived today, safe and sound and in good speed. It's pre-seasoned, allegedly, but I thought I'd give it a quick rinse and season it anyway, which I had to do over a low flame on my gas cooker as it wouldn't fit in my tiny oven, it heated up surprisingly quickly over two burners. 20 minutes and a coat of veg oil later, I cooled it down, heated it up again and threw a bass fillet on. The sea bass cooked very quickly and didn't stick at all, I just slid a spatula (wallpaper scraper) under it and it flew off. I don't normally serve fried eggs with my bass fillet but, buoyed by my non-stick bass experience, I thought I'd try frying an egg whilst the griddle was hot. The result amazed me, as you can see from the video, the egg slid around the griddle as though it were on an ice rink. Very impressive. Can't wait to try burgers on the ribbed side.

Works on my induction hob……..
Rather large, but manageable, not cooked on it yet but looks good to go. Both sides heat very quickly on the induction hob, we look forward to an opportunity to christen it.

Rusted after one use
Having been excited to use this product. It cooked wonderfully. However after one use it is covered in rust. So disappointed

I bought this for my dad and so far the pan lasts quite well. Just this point I will say it is good value

Good heavy item, great for all types of cooking if you look after it
Used a number of times now over our garden firepit. Good solid piece of kit with plenty of cooking space. Makes very juicy burgers without charring them from the flames, and also allows us to cook some different things you can't do on a grate - try chocolate pancakes, they're great for a cold lockdown get together!As with all cast iron gear you MUST take the time to look after it properly, but if you do this regularly it's very low maintenance. For me this meant a full 3 rounds of "seasoning" in the oven before first use, but now it just gets rinsed off after use, rub a very light smearing of oil all over, then let it cool down over the embers.

So easy to clean up after using it
After I seasoned it, nothing sticks to it. It's big enough to cook several eggs or pancakes on it and it's small enough to store in your cabinets. I love this and wish I had another one. I highly recommend that everyone should have one. I have a gas cook stove and it cooks everything evenly. I don't know how it would be on a electric stove, but whoever is reading this should for sure get one!!!

Perfecta para induccion con zona flex.

Acabo de estrenar mi nueva induccion aeg con zona flex y junto a esta he comprado esta plancha, el resultado ha sido espectacular, un matrimonio perfecto.Se calienta muy rápido y la plancha funciona genial en ambas caras, en algunas reseñas indican que solo detectan la inducción en una de ellas, aunque para cocinar solo he utilizado la parte lisa.He preparado cocas de dacsa como se ve en las fotos, (son una masa de harina de trigo y maíz), hamburguesas, filetes de ternera y huevos a la plancha, sin que se pegue nada en absoluto.Hay que saber usarla para que no se pegue elevando la temperatura de la misma antes de poner los alimentos y no usarla en frio.Lo mismo para el mantenimiento, no se os ocurra meterla en el lavavajillas o la estropeareis, aunque al ser de hierro fundido siempre tendrá arreglo.Cuando se use se lava con agua mientras aún está caliente, evitando poner mucha de golpe para no darle un cambio brusco de temperatura y deformarla o si aún está en la vitro reventarla, con algún estropajo metálico se raspan los restos de comida. Una vez limpia se seca muy bien y se engrasa, yo la vuelvo a poner al mismo "fuego" que está aún caliente ya que la placa de inducción retiene calor (a pesar de no tener resistencia y ser inducción lo hace). Así me aseguro que queda bien seca. Pondría que la volvería a comprar pero me da la impresión de que está plancha me enterrara a mi. Un saludo!!

Le pentole in ghisa stanno sostituendo quelle classiche in casa mia
Le pentole in ghisa sono tornate in voga in queato ultimo periodo, sempre più persone le stanno comprando ed usando ed anche su internet pullulano i video.Tralasciando la grande validità in cucina, sui fornelli, nel forno, bisogna cambiare modo di considerare la pulizia e la manutenzione.Prima di tutto bisognerà effettuare un trattamento con olio di cocco, cospargendo ogni millimetro quadrato ed inserendo la pentola nel forno a 250 gradi per un'ora e lasciarla raffreddare al suo interno. Ripetendo il tutto 3 volte in modo da creare un bello strato protettivo onde evitare la formazione di ruggine.Per il lavaggio, non va bene immergerle in acqua ed abbondare con detersivi sgrassanti, si rischia solo di ridurre quello strato oleosa protettivo e dover ripetere la procedura detta poco sopra.Per la pulizia bisogna rimuovere ciò che è rimasto in pentola, io personalmente pulisco tutto con della carta assorbente, uno strato leggero ed una passata veloce di spugna con detersivo e dopo una passata sul fuoco ad alta temperatura e cospargere la pentola con un sottile strato di olio di cocco.Vedrete che la pentola durerà in eterno e la vostra cucina vi ringrazierà per i cibi cucinati
