Smashing Pumpkins: Vieuphoria Live

If not for the bonus content on this DVD I might have actually been annoyed at the offering of the main film on this DVD. To make this absolutely clear, I'm a big pumpkins fan from their album releases so this was a huge risk since having seen the VH1's storytellers and other people's reactions planted quite a seed of doubt regarding Smashing Pumpkin's performance value. Thankfully the performances are a lot better than average and some reach awesomeness to use a trendy typo buzzword. But the snippets in between performances are wtf at best. The pumpkin's brand of humor or attempt of humor suck at best. Sorry, but I sat through it and decided that in further viewings I'd skip those clips because they take away from some very good performances. Where does this band shine live though? If anyone says Billy Corgan's drama, they're sipping too much pumpkin flavored koolaid. The focal point of this band is Jimmy Chamberlain's thunderous drumming and Billy's guitar work, not his drama or all of his vocal chops which are mixed though leaning to the positive side. Thank god because I've heard my fair share of "his vocals suck live" comments. So in essence, if you're a Pumpkins fan, you can buy this album without worrying it'll totally suck. There will be parts you will skip but there will be parts that will make you raise and eyebrow while pumping your first.

Boy am I glad I decided to get this DVD. If you are a fan of the good old days of the band then this dvd is for you! Packed with live performances of some of the best songs from from their early 90's albums and some goofy little skits and sarcastic interviews, this will surely provide a nostalgic dose of joy to any serious Pumpkins fan.Although I would have liked to have seen non-acoustic versions of Mayonaise and Cherub Rock I still give Veiuphoria a partially biased 5 out of 5 stars.Happy Shopping everyone!

I still watch this DVD today after getting it for a gift in, like 2006. I carry a copy on my BlackBerry today. I don't know much about how this was produced, but it feels to me like the band had control over most everything. It's a fun mix of some stupid stuff, some artsy stuff and some kick-ass live performances. To me, it's priceless. To you it's $16.78

I love this DVD. For any Pumpkins fan from the X generation or whatever you wanna call a 34 year old nowadays, it's a must. I had it on VHS in the 90s but played it so much, it died on me...probably killed the player too. Just be sure to have a good set of speakers connected to your tube especially when Geek U.S.A comes on.

Forget even being a crazed out Pumpkins fan, if you kiddies like the rock and roll dished out via live concert footage, Vieuphoria is tops.i.e. YOU MUST BUY THIS unless you are a complete moron, or just have no money.good thing DVD's last a long time, this one is worth keeping until I am old and senile. : )heck fire, maybe it will be EVEN better that way.

I'd much rather find a Pumpkins uninterrupted live concert. This reminds me of the Primus DVD Thanks for the Fish except at least the live songs on this do go to completion. For the hardcore fan there are some funny interviews and other things between the songs.

For the smashing Pumpkins fan this dvd is a great collection.

リージョン１(アメリカ、カナダ)仕様なので、国内のDVDプレーヤーでは見れませんので、注意が必要です。ＰＣで見ることは可能です。私は新たにDVD‐Rにリージョン２(日本、ヨーロッパ)で書きこんで、視聴しております。その不便で、星３つとさせて頂きました。それを覗いたなら、星4.5です。さて、内容ですが、お腹いっぱいです(笑)「サイアミーズ」でブレイク中の熱気をビシバシ感じることができます。曲中に挟むインタールード？的な遊びも、映像作品としてとても楽しいです。色々な目玉はありますが、個人的には「天使のロック」「マヨネーズ」のアコースティックバージョンに打ち震え、「ディザーム」「トゥディ」ほかサイアミーズのキラーチューンの、ライブの恰好よさにしびれます(笑)更に！特典映像も充実。至福の161分を過ごせます。スマパン好きなら、マストアイテムと言えるでしょう！特に「サイアミーズ」ファンなら感涙、飽きのこないスルメライブDVDです！必見!!
