It would be nice to have that information in the instructions
My original review was based on my experience reading the instructions and installing the system. My comments were noticed by the seller and the seller contacted me about my concerns. They responded very quickly and I think the instructions are now much more helpful. Kudos on the quick response. When I first put the Display unit on my dashboard, I was concerned that the Anti-skid pad might not hold it in place. After testing it on a variety of roads, ranging from interstate highways to winding mountain roads, I can say that the Anti-skid pad has worked very well. The Display unit did not move around at all. When driving, I have observed the pressure and temperature changes that the instructions say to expect, so I know that the sensors and receiver are working. I have not had any experience with the alarms, and I hope I never do, but given my experience with the unit so far, I anticipate that they will work as advertised.Based on the fast response from the seller and my additional experience with the unit, I have raised by rating from 3 stars to 5 stars.I have recently purchased and installed the VESAFE® Tire Pressure Monitoring System. As of the time I am writing this review, I have had it on my car for less than one day, so my review will focus on the instuctions that came with the unit and my experience with the installation process. I plan to update this review at a later date.A. The instruction booklet. There are 3 general problems, 1. information is missing 2. information is written in the wrong order and 3. information is just wrong and/or confusing.I will start with missing information. The first piece of information that is missing is how to turn the unit on and off. By trial and error I learned that you do it by lightly pressing and holding the On/Off button for about 3 seconds, but it would be nice to have that information in the instructions. The second missing piece is: Check and adjust tire pressure before installing the sensors. If you don’t, you may have to remove the sensors and the security hex nuts, adjust the tire pressure and then reinstall the sensors and the security hex nuts. The third missing piece is the location of the “—“ (minus) button. You will need to find it to adjust Parameter Settings. The figure shown is the first of a series of figures in the instruction booklet. The buttons are labeled On/Off, “SET” and “+”, but the “—“ button is not labeled. The On/Off button is also the “—“ button. It is possible to accidentally turn the Display off while setting or adjusting parameters. The fourth missing piece is the “Standby Mode”. The instructions in the “Sensor Re-coding” section refer to the “Standby Mode”, “1. In standby mode press …” and “5. … or return to Standby Mode …”, but there are no instructions about how to get the unit into “Standby Mode” or how the Display would let you know that it is in Standby Mode. As of this writing, I think standby mode means turn the Display unit power on, but I am not certain of that. The fifth and sixth missing pieces were found on the VESAFE website. Below are the instructions from the Instruction booklet on sensor installation:Sensor Installation:1 Fix the hex nut in the valve2 Fasten sensor to the tire valve3 Use the special wrench to tight hex nuts in counter clockwise direction.Information from the website:Tips for Sensors Installation1. Be gentle to the valve stem when screwing the sensors. It’s best to pinch the valve stem with one hand and then screw sensors with the other hand.2. Turn on the monitor first before installing the sensors so that the monitor can receive the sensor data on time.3. Ensure no air leakage over after installed and may use soapy water for testing if necessary. Now, information that is in the wrong order.Display Installation: First, “Place the display appropriately … with the anti-skid pad.”Second, “Please have the display fully charged by [using the] charging adapter for the first time using …”You may find it easier to charge the display unit before installing it; charging mine took over an hour.Information that is just wrong and/or confusing (I used ALL CAPS to emphasize the problems):“Parameter Setting: …5. High Pressure Setting for REAR TIRESWhile the two FRONT TIRE ICONS and the low pressure data icons are flashing, press the button “+” or “—“ to select the desired data.6. Low Pressure Setting for Rear TiresWhile the FOUR REAR TIRE ICONS and the low pressure data icons are flashing, press the button “+” or “—“ to select the desired data.”There are also instructions for high and low pressure settings for the spare tire which is confusing because the kit contains only 4 sensors.B. The installation process was fairly simple after I found the missing information. The small wrench for the security hex nuts that came in the box was awkward to use. I found it faster and easier to hand-tighten the nut against the sensor and to use the wrench only for the last bit of tightening. The security hex nuts got in the way of my tire pressure guage, so I had to remove them to get accurate pressure readings.C. Other information. The Installation booklet has the following information on accuracy of readings.“FAQ:1.Q: Is the pressure and temperature reading accurate?A: The unit is developed with the latest technology which makes the unit reliable and provides accurate pressure readings.”The answer to the above question only addressed accuracy of pressure readings and said nothing about the accuracy of temperature readings. As for the accuracy of the pressure readings, I set my tire pressures to 29 PSI in each tire using a digital pressure guage and a mechanical dial guage. The VESAFE Display showed 28 PSI in each tire. So I now know that, at least for my sensors, 28 = 29. Because of this discrepancy, I reset the Low Pressure warning for my tires by one PSI.Update note: On the box the unit came in, it says "Accurate readings ± 1 PSI".

Works
Only had for a day but appears to work. This is my second set of after market tpms with monitor. This set differs from the first in the display is nice and streamline but for me it is to streamline. It may be my age but it is a little difficult to read the numbers and the display is smaller than my first one. It comes with adequate instructions, make sure you charge the monitor prior to set up. I would give this a five star rating if the display was larger.

Great aftermarket TPMS! The rechargeable battery lasted a little over 2 yrs.
To get a TPMS on my vehicle from factory would have required the next trim model which would have been over $5000, so getting this device was really worth it. Always be aware of your tire pressure at a glance. I’ve had to charge this a couple of times because during winter there wasn’t enough sunlight to keep it charged. The batteries didn’t last as long as I had expected (less than a year) luckily I was able to find a store that sells the batteries for cheap, so a small addition cost to pay for having piece of mind.Update June 5, 2019 - so it’s been a bit over 2 years and the rechargeable battery in the main unit will no longer hold a charge. Unless I plan to keep the unit plugged in all the time in the van, this unit is basically useless now. I suppose for it to have lasted this long was pretty good and I noticed the price is actually $40 less than when I originally bought it! Not sure if there is anyway to replace the rechargeable battery, but somehow I don’t think there is.Even though this unit never let me down, I am going to try another brand and see how that goes.

Probably not what I should be using!
Don’t get me wrong, this product is easy to use, accurate within 2psi and 5 degrees. However, after the purchase, I realized it is not designed for heavier vehicles such as even a small 22’ RV, the reason I purchased the product. I had to upgrade. I guess if you wanna monitor you lawn tractor tire pressure, this can do the job.

More information is better
I have decided I really like knowing what the actual tire pressure (and temp) is. Yes, my car has one of those built-in TPMS setups, but that's kind of like having an idiot light for knowing whether the oil pressure is good or not. I bought some of these a while ago and the display on those wasn't as good as this new model, and I like the changes they made. I have learned to just plug the receiver in all the time rather than relying on the solar charger and batteries. If you park your car outside all the time then this likely won't be an issue. With the pandemic and my garage I had issues with that aspect, but I don't blame the product for that issue. No sun = no charge :-)

Lithium ion battery in it expanded and became a fire hazard
Important to know: the battery in this device, which is designed to sit in the sun, expanded and created a fire hazard in my truck. Fortunately I caught it before it caught fire.

Very unreliable
Takes a bit too long to display the reading, sometimes it doesn't display at all.Real unreliable not worth the purchase price

Good product - air leaking - updated: Purchased It NOW!
Great concept and it may be a great product. I’ve spend some time seeing how can I get some support or warranty since it seems like this is making my tire to lose air... I don’t see any help at this point. So, I’ll recommend this product 100% if there’s no air leaking.——- UPDATEDFrom 3 starts now 5. Why?This is a great product specially because the people behind it are great. Excellent customer service. After writing this review, I was contacted and a new unit was sent. For my surprise the problem was not with the Vesafe product. I had a problem with my vehicle valve stems. Thanks to this product I was able to track the problem. It is an excellent product and again, it is backed by a great company with excellent customer service.
