Just what I wanted - great quality switch!
After my touch sensitive bedside light switch failed I decided to remove the touch sensor and just install an inline switch. This switch from Art Deco Emporium was a great price, especially for two units. The quality of the switch is excellent. The plastic is of a nice feel and quality and it's held together by two screws and pins for a secure closing. The switch action is nice, not too 'clicky' but positive enough for a good on and off feel.Installing the wires was easy and straightforward. The terminals were large enough for the flex and the screws were of good quality.Cable grips work very well too.Overall, I am very happy to get my bedside lamp back up and running with this nice switch.Recommended!

Value for money but overtight screws
This is a neat-sized and budget-priced line switch. But for some reason is supplied with the brass screws for the earth wire have been machine tightened to a degree where they're very difficult to loosen with a phillips screwdriver without ruining the head and leaving the screw stuck in place. Using a narrow straight head screwdriver across the slot with runs across the slots for a phillips seems to work better. Apart from that it's an excellent, neatly-sized piece of kit that does the job.

This item wasn't meant to be delivered until Tuesday (ordered on Friday just before 5pm), so I was most impressed to have it turn up today. As with most things on Amazon these days, it's cheap Chinese crap that wouldn't pass most UK safety standards, which is why i never choose to buy the first thing in Amazons results.I'm glad i browsed as otherwise i wouldn't have come across this great switch. One of the few available that are rated at 6A. Most are rated at 2A which is not correct for the lamp and fuse rating I'm using and "just making do" with an under rated switch, could be a real hazard in the home! The item comes in a sealed bag, together with a basic wiring diagram.I really love how this switch screws together, instead of "clipping together ". Furthermore the terminals inside are metallic, screw terminals and there's a reversible strain relief that ensures you can use flat or round wire safely.I do think this is slightly more expensive and it will put many consumers off, but I would personally recommend this over the other, cheap and unsafe alternatives.

Good looking and functional..
Easy enough to fit, if a little cramped inside, seems strong enough for regular use and inner terminals are well spaced for good electrical separation. The case could have been a little longer to better accommodate the cable inner leads, but it is just possible to safely clamp the outer cable in the strain reliefs. There's a little space inside and to the side so you can bend the inner leads back, so they are not under any strain. Outer case is made from strong plastic, with no sharp corners, with a smooth rocker switch. Recommended for the price.

SUPER LITTLE ROCKER SWITCH.
Just the job for wiring a 3 core flex, where I chose to split even the continuous line earth as I found it easier than leaving it uncut. A sturdy little switch in black which, with new wiring, enhances the appearance and usage of a large Chinoiserie Ginger Jar type lamp from 1920.

Decent quality switch but a bit fiddly to wire
This is a decent quality inline switch with a good feel. It isolates both live and neutral, good for my application with vintage radios, and there is a carry-through terminal for an earth wire. The switch has a nice solid action and the cord grip is secure. Achieving a good cord grip is tricky though, as there is very little space inside for the wires. You need to have nimble fingers and a good eye to use these, personally I'd prefer it if the item was a couple of mm bigger all round as it would make life easier.
