Self-Healing Clear Paint Protection-Rear Bumper Protector

Purchased for a 2017 MDX: admittedly, I was apprehensive about installing this (e.g., if I messed up and damaged the paint in the process). First, watch their video. Second, they provide you with the cleaning/adhesive fluid spray and alcohol wipes. Third, watch their video. Seriously, just see the principles of the application. Third, remove your wedding ring and any other jewelry from your fingers. Last, I used a clean, unused microfiber cloth. Since I got my car washed at the local carwash, I thought it was the perfect time to do so. After all this, summarily, it was easy to do, especially after the first application. Spray a liberal amount of the solution on the car and the adhesive side of the protector, line it into position, make contact from the center, then dab your way outward. Using the microfiber cloth, I squeezed the liquid out (center to out), which was absorbed by the cloth. Any small bubbles were easily "wiped out" with the cloth. I wish I found out about this product when I first got the car. Anyway, it's worth the investment.

Great product, but the package doesn't come with a spray bottle of water and alcohol solution. I got away with a spray bottle with water laying around at home. Make sure you spray your fingertip too before you start the installation. Make sure you strictly follow the technique to start horizontally from the middle and spread your way vertically and outward. Pressing firmly with the full length of your finger.

We just got a new car and during the purchase the dealer was selling us hard on a protection package including these for a total of near $2000. My wife really wanted it but I couldn't accept that it would cost this much. I've had rental cars for work and can see the value of these clear films. Later I called some independent body shops to get a price and they were quoting ~$900 for a full package but that was still more than I wanted to spend. I checked Amazon and generic kits were just ~$20-30 and a full body custom kit was ~$250-300 so after watching some YouTube videos it seemed a pretty easy DIY job.Sure enough ordered this product and it took about 40 mins to do all 4 doors. Most of that was just figuring out how to do the first one but after that it only took a couple minutes to do the other 3 doors. I will say the little spray bottle of soapy fluid they provide is convenient if a bit fiddly to use since the siphon tube is almost 3x longer than the bottle so it was curled around inside and not really sucking anything up. A quick trim with a pair of scissors and all was good from then on. And I sure can't complain about the >$1900+ I saved.

I bought these for a 2019 Subaru Forester to protect the cup of the door handle from scratches. Instructions were clear and detailed for those who have not installed the protectors before. The protectors adhered with no issues, no bubbles, etc. During install I did need to remove one and re-spray and place it due to being uneven and it still adhered like the others. Great product, would order again if needed. Order came with 4 cup protectors, spray mixture and instructions.

Buy this one. Spend a little more and get the satisfaction. Thick films and when applied, they nearly invisible. Super easy to install. It took me less than half an hour to install all four doors. Product came with clear instruction and a bottle of mix solution which is plenty for all four applications. I bought a cheap product in the past and ended up threw them into the trash can.

Awesome product easy to install and very flexible, not like the one i bought before this one that it was a stiff plastic hard to contour in the door handle and it look to small.

As you move to the next door, go back and check, an air bubble may form as it dries. I kept doing this as I moved to each door and it turned out great

If you have never used a product like this before, try using soap water instead of alcohol and water as the directions describe. The alcohol makes the glue stick faster but the soap will let you float it around a little more. Just get two small spray bottles. In one, put water with just a few drops of baby shampoo, and the other 75/25 water/iso alcohol. After cleaning with the alcohol solution, use the soap water liberally and keep the alcohol in case you need an edge to stick real good. Also get ahold of a squeegee. I used a 4" one cut in half.With that being said, these needed very slight trimming to fit my 2017 GMC Sierra crew cab, and they still covered more paint than the 3M "custom cut" ones from ebay. Pros wanted 140 for all four door cups, so this is a steal. Time will tell if they peel up or get yellow, but so far they are pretty much invisible.
