It really works! Good for RO and soft water!
I was really hesitant to get this because I read in some fish groups that this was a waste of money. I have really soft water to the point it is basically RO water so I decided to give this a shot since I have no minerals or nutrients in my water because of my water softener. I use lake cichlid salt to bring up the GH which has improved the health and growth of my tank but was still noticing slow growth and lack of decent color. I tried this product once and my fish have colored up significantly the next day. They have even started breeding. I would definitely recommend this product if your water is very soft. If you have normal water you might not need it or see much of a difference.

Trace elements for Cichlids
Cichlid Trace adds back trace elements into the water that have been depleted by utilization, oxidation and precipitation. the formula contains only elements that have been demonstrated to be required by fish. The elements added back in are Calcium (min 2.4% - max 2.64%), Magnesium (min 0.792%), Iodine (min 0.1%), Potassium (min 0.1%), Copper (min 0.032 mg), Fluorine (max 0.001 mg), Iron (min 0.007 mg), Manganese (min 0.002 mg), Selenium (min 0.00006 mg), and Zinc (min 0.007 mg).The 500 mL will treat 100 gallons for 2-4 months based on if you douse once or twice a week with one capful (5mL) for every 20 gallons.I have noticed that my fish went through a growth spurt and are not as stressed when using this along with Seachem Prime. Their colors have started to really shine over the past couple of months and on my convict Cichlids, their stripes have become more pronounced. I have a Jack Dempsey that is now about 6" long where I purchased him at about 1.5" in March. In the past 2 months he has outgrown every other fish in my tank and while quality food has done a lot for that, the Jack Dempsey I purchased last year took about 9 months to reach that size. I have a 75 gallon Oceanic tank with a trickle filter so I'm running about 90 gallons through it. I also have a 29 gallon tank with a pair of Blue Peacock Cichlids that seemed somewhat dull until I started with the trace elements and since then they have started mating and I now have a few babies running around in there as well.I would recommend this product to anyone with Cichlids, it puts my mind at ease and I believe that it makes the fish happier as well.

Good Price for GH Maintenance Item
I use this in my 55 gallon Mbuna tank. Helps with the general hardness, as I change nine gallons of water each day (tank is overstocked). Use this in conjunction with Cichlid Trace and Cichlid Lake Salt. Fish are happy, healthy and beautifully colored.

Works great so far
Haven't used this product for very long. Maybe 2 months. I use it for my Lethrinops and they seem to love water change time (what fish doesn't ;) ). Even after a few days they are active and thier colors begin to pop with each water change. I only dose once a week for a 25% change and dose for that 25% not the existing water. I was scared to buy thinking it would be harsh on the sensitive Lethrinops but it isn't. I dose in small quantities at first then graduated to the full dose upon water changes. Liking it so far!

COLORS THAT POP & HAPPY THRIVING FISH
First let me tell you if you have any fish "Especially Cichlids" you need to ensure they are getting the proper nutrients they need from the water. For optimal color/health and longevity Seachem trace is what you want! In my 30 years I have seen the results of those who add Trace to tanks and those keepers who do not. Difference is night and day! Don't get confused between the Trace for the different species it is pretty much all identical! Per Seachem it is merely for marketing purposes! African Trace will be no different then the freshwater Trace by Seachem. I use mainly the African Trace since bulk is the best deal in all my tanks, 90 planted, 135 African & 220 SA/CA, but I have from time to time used Fresh Trace as well. There really is no difference. I have never had any parameter issue's while using it. I dose it once a month after my 75% Water change. If you really care for your fish you would be wise to ensure they have everything! Now if Amazon or there deli we people would stop throwing packages and boxes perhaps customers would not have to get broken/leaky bottles half the time!
