It's subjective, I know, but I don't think the word "intense" really applies to these. I find the smell from the bag a little unpleasant and pungent with the taste somewhat lacking. I've been using a 3-cup Moka Pot to make Americano-style coffees and get some bitterness, burnt, woody tastes without anything else of note, much like many commodity dark roasts. Grinding a little coarser has helped reduce bitterness, resulting in an easy-drinker but I still wouldn't consider it particularly intense. Probably not my cup of...

I’ve been trying many different makes of coffee beans & strength & this Costa No 5 strength -ticks all the boxs for meIt’s reasonably priced & gives a good taste & aroma in my De’Longhi machine

Spotted this on offer so gave it a go. Disappointed as there's hardly any flavour and it's certainly not a level 5 strength coffee.

Found these coffee beans to be bland, tasteless and nowhere near no.5 strength. Not much of an aroma either. Very disappointing.
