Love these pencils. Quite soft and buttery. Can't stop using them. I have put these with my favourite colour pencils I own. Would definitely recommend

I have been colouring for 5 years, I'm not an artist by any measure and I'm not particularly good at colouring, I have bought practically every cheapy set of pencils that have stated or been reviewed as soft and creamy over the years that I could find and have always been in some measure disappointed, until now.Finally a set of pencils at a reasonable price that do precisely what they say they do. Will they make me a great artist or colorist, not a chance but boy are they a pleasure to use. Coverage without calluses spot on, layering never tried but at least now I have the incentive.Thank you black widow now I have a hobby I really do enjoy.

Great shade and blend

I love these pencils, the black barrels and wood are unique, the pigment is lovely and creamy and lays down well on most of the papers I’ve tried it on so far. I’m quite heavy-handed so found the tips of the pencils a little crumbly when sharpened to a point, but easily rectified by not sharpening them as much. They seem to blend nicely and they layer quite easily. The choice of colours is nice and complements other pencil sets well, might not be the best set to have on its own as you will miss some tones, but certainly a great addition to anyone’s collection!My only issue was the way the pencils actually arrived. The tin was totally bent out of shape, to the point that I’m surprised none of my pencils were damaged - a couple of the leads inside broke off on the first sharpen, but none of them seem to be beyond salvation.

These are a good quality pencil and love the colour names. The range of colours is good, the price is reasonable compared to some of the others. I have several of the other tins from this range and they never repeat a colour in any of the tins which is good. I originally bought some from a high street newsagent but the pencils were hard and the colours didn't mix or blend well so got these instead and they are soo much better

I have collected 5 of the Black Widow sets - Black Widow, Cobra, Scorpion, Monarch and now Dragon. This Dragon set is a great addition to the others and I now have every colour and shade I could wish for. The pencils are the usual high quality, with beautiful, vibrant pigments which are easy to lay down and layer. I highly recommend these and all of the Black Widow sets.
