I was afraid of getting a second class version. Looks like the photo. Good price deal!

Just received this teapot, it looks better than expected. It is also smaller than expected, but perfect for two or three people. It is made in China, so may not be for the purest. This style of cast iron teapots originated in Japan, however, there is no secret in the technique, so there is no reason people from other countries can not master it. For me, I am looking for a Japanese style cast iron teapot, beautiful, inexpensive, with enamel coating inside and can be directly boiled over the stove top, and this one fits the bill. My only concern is that the flowers on the teapot look very uniform. My guess is that they were stamped onto the sand mold, not hand carved individually.

This "tea" pot is nice.I wish the spout was made a little longer or had a different shape. If it is full, it tends to spill over.Solution: Have to pour fast or faster.I would recommend it.
