These are solid weights to use for your workouts. You have good grip holding them, the material feels sturdy and hasn’t been peeling from using them. I’m not getting any smells from it. And if you want something that adds a bit of color they are perfect.

The color (I got purple) looks just like the pictures, nothing flashy, just simple and clean.A couple small things to note: they do have that new rubber smell at first, though it fades after a few days. Also, since they’re so light, they’re probably not a good pick if you’re already into strength training and want a challenge.Overall, they do what they’re supposed to. The weights arrives promptly and in good condition, but they're not for smaller persons(5'2"). I noticed in class that the grip is much wider than other 8lb weights, and it's hard to do certain exercises where I need to switch hands.
