To be honest, I never thought that the water in my area is bad. However, my roommate came from different country and she claimed that her skin is dry, itchy and irritated because of the water. So, we decided to install a filter for a shower and came across with this product. We were a bit skeptical because there weren't enough reviews to judge. However, because of the price and the easy installation claimant, we decided to give it a try. And I am very glad that I did.Although it was hard to remove the shower nozzle for the installation (which is not their fault :)), installation was as easy as they claimed. And even I was able to feel the difference after installing this filter. My hair (which is teased by the constant change of style) looks smoother and shinier. But I have not felt any difference in skin perspective, however seeing my roommate's reaction, it does what it claims to do.Very satisfied so far!

I was changing my shower head, and decided to see what all of the hype is around these shower filters. The price on these, is well worth a trial run. I am so happy that I gave it a try. While my water does not typically smell horrible - it just smells like water. However, the water that comes from the shower now has a much less "artificial chemical" scent than my bathroom sink - think water treatment plant stuff.With that said, I went ahead and researched the health benefits. It turns out, there are numerous studies that indicate that the inhalation of chlorine can lead to negative health effects. I am not too sure if that is true or not, but why risk it. We probably won't know for 50 years, and then be inundated with water filtration warnings like: "oh, by the way you should filter your shower, because of the chlorine" (Think about the common place use of asbestos during the pre 70's).The only thing that was not included with this package, were the pliers. It even included the white tape to seal the connection from leaks.Anyhow, neat purchase, for a good price.

This is so easy to use! The box was easy and frustration free, instructions are easy to follow and I had mine installed in less than 2 minutes. The water actually feels softer coming out! My shower head used to get bad hard water build up so hopefully this fixes the issue.

I'm very happy with this purchase. The filter is well made and installation was simple, everything I needed was in the box and it took, at most, 5 minutes. We got to keep our shower head which we all love as this installs between the shower pipe and the head.I felt a difference in the water the first time I used it just in the amount of shampoo I needed. I can already tell there is going to be a savings from that. I'm less itchy, which is great since I had been blaming our dogs for that turns out it was the water. Amazing what a simple thing like not being itchy can do to change your whole day.My wife has very long hair and she's already in love with this filter system. It takes her less time to rinse out all of the soap and she says her hair feels much nicer now and is much easier to brush out.Both of my girls love the thing too and it's only been installed for three days now. I'm really hopeful it will help with the orange staining that happens too, from what I have read it certainly should. I will update the review and let everyone know how that goes.. but considering the change in the way the water feels, how quickly soap lathers and rinses off I'm pretty sure this filter just fixed most of our problems.

So far I have posed the question to the manufacturer to provide results to their claims of removing contaminants, namely fluoride and they have confirmed testing but provided no actual report for me to view. Suspicious. Last night was the first night to shower with this filter. My hair was frayed! The water in Fremont (East Bay California) is so bad. I literally have to buy gallon water from the store and ozone it with my machine to wash my hair for it to look normal where I can see my natural waves. Otherwise my hair is frayed and frizzy. Every shower filter I have tried- pelican, paragon, aquasana, and now this one has thoroughly disappointed me. I'm on the verge of petitioning our community against our water district to get them to stop dumping fluoride and other contaminants into our water and urge them to ozone the water supply. Perhaps I need to run the water for longer- who knows, but if any of you readers find a good shower filter, I would like to know about it!.

We have well water at our summer cabin and while filtering our drinking water was a given due to the metallic taste (though it is safe to drink, doesn't taste great) but never thought to filter our bathing water. I can actually feel the build up in my hair from the high mineral content after staying there. It never feels quite clean. We were excited to try this product when we came across it and love the very reasonable price.My husband installed it right away and it couldn't have been easier. I think it took less than 10 minutes. We've only been using two days but I can tell the difference already in the way it is coming out of the shower head. I can't wait to feel the difference on my hair and skin. I'll check back in and update my review after a few weeks.

We have very chlorinated tap water and we recently invested in a Berkey Water system for drinking and cooking. My next investment was going to be a shower filter and I was happy to find this affordable one. The chlorine is so strong when I shower that it makes me cough and I get dizzy. Well, I've noticed a significant difference in my skin and hair as well as not feeling dizzy while showering. I also would like to report the coughing while showering is completely gone!! It looks like we will be continuing to use this for the foreseeable future.

Over the last few years I have suffered from noticeable hair loss/thinning, which I found very upsetting. I eventually visited my GP who referred me to a Gynaecology specialist thinking I may have PCOS. I also suffered many of the other symptoms however all tests were clear and no reason was offered.I’ve now had the shower filter installed for close to three weeks and can definitely see noticeable improvements to my hair as well as my skin. My hair is much more shinier and I have definitely noticed less fall out in the shower. I've also noticed that some small patches of eczema I have on my legs and torso have cleared much quicker. I didn’t realise how much chlorine and other contaminants were in the water. The filter must be removing all the chlorine as now when I use the other taps in the house I now notice that there is a strong smell of chlorine.After a lot of research on the various shower filters on the market and deciding which one to get, I’m so pleased I chose this one. Warning though - make sure to run the shower before the first use as the water does come out black until the filter is clear of the carbon residue.

Haven’t had a chance to use this yet - the filter was to wide to screw into my electric shower and too heavy to attach at the end of the shower hose : the shower head just dropped down under the weight.I’d strongly suggest anyone who wants to get this and attach it directly to your shower get an angled attachment so the filter isnt stuck against the wall, or get a really tiny shower head to counter balance it.The angled shower connector has work perfectly but cost another £15

Simple to install, beautiful chrome finish, and already noticing the benefits. I have very fine hair and am from the States where we I used to have a water-softner and just much less dehydrating things in the water. I am now based in London, where the water is known for drying out your skin and hair. After one shower, I'm already noticing my skin feels less parched, my hair less frizzy, and this model is much cheaper than I was expecting to pay!I'm so excited for this to be my new normal in London and to escape the itchy, dry patches on my skin and frizzy hair!

Just gonna put it out there that this thing is pretty damned special! I moved to a harder water area just over a week ago and my hair had gone proper yukky!!! My skin was screaming out for moisture but none could get through because of all the mineral build up on my skin... I felt HORRIBLE!!!! Plugged this baby into my shower last night, I used it this working and my hair is restored to its usual happy silky self... my shampoo lathered again rather than dying and sliding off the mini rock formations on my hair and my skin is already so much better again... all I’m gonna say is treat yourself... you deserve it... you’re so worth it... love this product 🙌🏻
