Works great for equipment rated 100W or less!
This is a great converter for small appliances consuming up to 100W. It is not for hairdryers, vacuum cleaners, TVs, etc. as those consume a lot more than that.It is fairly light (0.8kg), extremely compact, quiet, and does not produce noise in the audio spectrum like a switching power supply would. It has a toroidal step-up transformer. I am using it with European audio equipment (70W) and works perfectly for that purpose. It is also virtually silent in operation.Good job!

Performing flawlessly!
This is a fantastic converter for a great price. Seems solid and well made, compact, and much better looking than the alternatives! I bought this hesitantly to use for my 220v sounddock 10, rated at 150w, which is this device's max wattage rating. So far this thing has performed like a charm and hasn't broken a sweat (~doesn't get warm)! Saved me from an expensive, professional internal power conversion.

Works great Euro cassete deck
Works great for my European Denon Drs 610 cassete deck. No issues what's so ever and easy to use. The Trasnformer does not get hot and since it's so small I barely even know I'm using it. Definitely love this little device.

This Product DOES Work .............
I purchased an Antique Fan in Austria so I needed to Convert power from ( U.S. )110v to 220v (AUS.).The product met my requirements so I got it VIA Prime. This product seems well made and heavy which is perfect for me because I will NOT be traveling with it.Upon opening , the instructions aren't much more than a package check list and you have to use your common sense. It wasn't hard to figure what plugs into where - HOWEVER............It was VERY DIFFICULT to insert the European Plug into the Device itself - You have to really push it into the converter so hard that you feel like you will crack the unit. It finally popped through what I can ONLY ASSUME is some kind of Baby Proof B**LL S**IT feature...... Anyway I was literally boxing it up to send back and I decided give it One More Brutally Hard Squeeze to try to PoP it in and sure enough BANG - it sort of broke through some kind of Barrier. Anyway I plugged it in and it works fine. One other thing - customer service is Non Existent because they are located in China and EVERYTHING on their Web-site is written in Chinese.Anyway, Glad this thing worked out !!!!!!

Compact and nice looking, but output isn't regulated
Overall this is a very nice looking and small step down converter. It's definitely a good choice for North American devices, but be careful about using this for Japanese specific electronics. This step down converter says it is designed for 220V and I suspect that it operates as claimed with that input. When provided with 230V as is common in most of Europe as well as Oceania it works great, but the output will not be what's stated on the side of the device.Connected to an outlet with 230.6V, the device output:- 100V stated, actual: 110.9V- 110V stated, actual: 116.9VSo if you actually wanted to use a Japanese device rated for 100V in a 230V country, this step down converter shouldn't be used as you'd be more than 10% over voltage. However, if you want to use a device designed for 110V or 120V this would be perfect.A few more things worth noting:- It's quite hard to plug into. I had to use a lot of force to get my lamp's polarized plug fully in. However, once it was plugged in I was very confident it wasn't going to slip out.- The transformer has a C8 inlet and comes with a corresponding C7 connector to Euro plug (Type C) power cord. This is great because if you're going to a country that needs a different plug, just buy that type of cord with a C7 connector.

Works!
Easy set up. Works beautifully for converting an LED lamp that has an EU plug. No issues at all.
