Fantastic addition to recipes
Nothing ive ever tasted tastes like tamarind. Best similarity is probably Worcestershire sause with lots of lime juice and a touch of ketchup. I used this as part of a pad thai sauce. Brown Sugar is required to take that bitter edge off the flavor (as the recipe calls for) not too thick but more like the consistency of pancake syrup but much darker. Super deep brown. The pad thai was tasty after all.
