I am really happy with these.Easy to install, adhesive works great, and helps keep doors closed from our furry friend.I love the fact that it's easy to disengage when you don't want the store to close automatically.It would be ideal if it could be a little gentler closing, but it still deserves five stars.Solves A real issue at our house inexpensively, and with ease.I'll order another four.

Absolutely 5 stars for the price. Took less than 5 minutes to install 2. Closes both doors perfectly.If a new version is made, the only changes I would make would be a smaller if possible (without loosing power) box and a tension adjusting knob. Also, clear fishing line would make it a little less noticeable. But that said, they absolutely work.If your door doesn’t close with these, chances are it’s your knob, locking mechanism or your door is just too heavy. I have one on a heavy steel garage door and it works perfect. I do have one on a lighter door - so it doesn’t “slam” I could have moved the position, added a simple bumper or clear tape on the door jam or locking mechanism. You could also add some felt or similar by the wire to slow it down.Tape works fine - if you have an issue your surface wasn’t clean or not pressed properly or you installed at a bad angle - not a good idea to eat buttered popcorn right before installing. In any case, spend a nickel and use another piece of tape or get out a screwdriver if you are tape illiterate 😅Haven’t used this long so only time will tell. I know I could make one that would last 10 years but didn’t take this apart to check the parts inside. Great design if you want something quick and non obtrusive.

So it worked great, I'm only deducting a star because it's not very durable. I opened the door a bit too far today without thinking and it just broke entirely. It won't retract anymore. I'm getting a replacement though bc my cat finally can't open the door that won't latch.

The media could not be loaded. I use this for my garage freezer where sometimes people in the house will forget to close the door. Installed this on it and it works as intended. It'll swing fully out and close it after not holding the door. But i dont like how there's no room for error or replacement. There's only enough stickers to put it where you want it once. If you want to move it or in my case I tried using it on my door. But the sticky gave out after a day and I wasn't able to put it back on because it dried up and no more stickers to try again. It's a good product for what I used it for but the lack of stickers is what gives this 3 stars for me.

My wife would often leave the door open when she left the bedroom, allowing smells from the rest of the house to waft into the room. This solution worked great. The sticky seems to be slowly peeling (our door is textured so it didn't get a perfect seal) despite prepping with alcohol and drying before applying. My only concern is that it might tear away from the door unexpectedly (I've had problems with these types of sticky pads in the past) so I will be installing the hook with a little super glue instead. It can be easily removed for when we want to leave the door open and has quite some zip to it if I just let it reel itself back in. The screws seem to be the perfect offset for the beams but I seem to have missed 2/4 and only got drywall on the other half yet it holds up sufficiently (added some super glue to be sure).

The media could not be loaded. BE AWARE: these are not strong enough to completely close any door in my home. As shown in the video, they close the door but do not have enough force to make it latch or sit flush in the door frame.I did end up having to screw them into the walls, the adhesive wasn't enough for either one, so keep that in mind. I guess it depends on the type of paint on your walls because it stuck just fine to the black box.I bought these to keep my mischievous cat out of the pantry and the bathroom as he likes to tear into bags and the toilet paper rolls. I like how you can unlatch the metal cord anytime and make the door manual and then back to automatic when you're ready without any screws.Personally I think it's just the right amount of force. Any more and we'd probably have a lot of squished fingers haha! My cats can't open the doors even with their full body weight.

Does a pretty good job of pulling shut. I just want it to be a little stronger as it has trouble with my heavy exterior doors. Still, I got it so the door wasn't hanging open and it does nearly close the door so all in all it is an improvement over nothing.
